on some real talk, Naruto shouldn't appoint anybody he's personally close to an advisor. That's exactly how Simon and Hiruzen found themselves in the situation they were in. Giving power positions to friends always end in disaster because those ppl will take full advantage of someone they know won't have it in them to check them when they overstep their boundaries. Being an advisor should be saved for someone who actually has the wisdom to weigh the pro and cons of a decision.
