We know from Chapter 700 that Naruto becomes the Hokage, but as far as our information reaches, he was still a Genin at that time. And that still doesn't make sense to me.
I already felt that it would have made sense to just promote him to Chuunin after his part in rescuing Gaara and defeating Pain, but there is no way they wouldn't have promoted him (maybe even immediately to Jounin) after the events of the Fourth Shinobi War.
Does this strike anyone else as irritating and illogical?
