I understand where you're coming from totally I just don't agree on a few points.

Most people who perform evil without remorse rarely consider their actions as evil. I agree that Sasuke is one of these people.

I also agree about the elders having to make a tough choice. Not for a second do I condone either's actions, (I feel like I'm discussing real political and ethical matters here... Kishi' writes a good story... I digress)... I also agree that Sasuke is nowhere near being a good guy atm. But it's set to change... there's still a chance he could return to the good fight. This is how the story has been set up. Either way.... until we can define Sasuke as 100% unsavable... I can't agree that he is a pure villain yet.

I think both our opinions are accurate to an extent... we're just favouring either side of his possible nature in the balance of good and evil! xD
Well seems like it. But I still believe that actions of one person describes one better. And Sasuke had done nothing but evil sort of late. His words are of evil too. It is like you say. We just have to wait till the maybe final match between Sasuke and Naruto. Will he be "saved"? Will they both die? Will good win over evil or the other way around? The ending does not need to be as happy as you are hoping it to be. I believe that Kishi is leaving that spot open for last.
lastly I respect you validation of not classifying him as a pure villain, but I just cant see another option.
It was good discussing with you and now we just have to wait and see :D

Kishi has a way of twisting the plot... Sasuke becoming good is too obvious... I actually hope Kishi creates a nice and satisfying surprise ending. :D

Also agreed good convo!

Those are all obvious except Sasuke who is driven by hatred and vengeance and Madara who is just plain evil.

Sasuke isn't doing what he is doing out of love, he is driven by vengeance and always has been. Kakashi already stated everyone's tired of his little temper tantrums and look how Sasuke behaved. He is doing the exact opposite of what Itachi wanted, how is that out of love? It's kind of obvious that he's becoming mentally unstable too :). Sasuke is aware of what he is doing. He betrayed the very people who saved his ass numerous times. He isn't a good guy. Naruto loves Sasuke though and will continue to do so no matter how low Sasuke falls. This is what "love" is :). They might end up together instead of Naruto and Hinata.

Madara is pure evil. This has been stated more than once in the manga. He is VERY different from Itachi, Nagato or anyone for that matter.

You forgot Danzo. He is a prime example of a anti-hero who's intentions are good. His battle with Sasuke determined who was the evil one out of the two. While Danzo wasn't the "good" leader everyone wanted, he wanted what was best for the village just as Sarutobi did. Danzo just had different methods of acquiring it.

And shyarkugan, Itach is an anti-villain. It's obvious he would end up in a list such as this.
