-The Jump Super Anime Tour is returning for the first time in over two years! In the latest issue of Shonen Jump, Shueisha is announcing a brand new Naruto Shippuden anime special this fall. This won’t be a TV special, it will be an exclusive original part of the upcoming Jump Super Anime Tour 2013 event.
Previous specials created for the event include “Dragon Ball: Yo! Son Goku and His Friends Return” and “Naruto: The Cross Roads”, both of which eventually made it online English subbed.

This year there will be no movie, however a new movie has been confirmed for 2014. There is not much information available yet, but it was revealed that Masashi Kishimoto will have a hand in the movie just like he did with Road to Ninja. Expect more information and possible the first teaser this Winter.

You can usually know how good an episode will be by learning the names of the animation supervisors. For example, if you see "Hiroyuki Yamashita" or "Masayuki Kouda" listed, it will always be a great episode.
Q: Why did all of the Chikara episodes have such great animation?
A: It seems that Chikara was originally being produced as a movie. However it was scrapped, and Road to Ninja took its place as the yearly film for 2012. The studio has not directly confirmed this, but there is mountains of evidence to support this explanation.

- First week of April: New Opening and Ending
- First week of July: New Ending
- First week of October: New Opening and Ending
