Naruto Anime and Manga current placement...

Has any one else noticed that the Anime and Manga are in complete opposites of each other at this point in time (especially the relation between Naruto and Kurama)? I mean, in the anime, he's fighting for the chakra and they are practically enemies...and in the manga they are basically have sake at a table chatting about who the hottest kunoichi is (by the way-Hinata wins...but that's a different thread). I just wanted to know if I'm the only one who has noticed this. Am I?
