when the so6p split up the kyubi, he knew that the nine tails would be the strongest. and whoever could control him, he knew would have to be pure of heart. So he put alot of his chakra in the nine tails to be used when it could be controlled. he probably did it just in case something like what madara's doing would happen. That's my theory as to why Naruto looks the way he does. There were other things in my theory but i'm hungover and forgot.

Personally I have a similar theory.
But I believe all the Spirtual Energy (Yin) of the tailed beasts are the Juubis chakra.
I believe all the Physical energy (Yang) is the SOSP's
The reason I believe this is that the Juubis body is the moon. And the SOSP gave the 9 tailed beasts their form he created their bodies but filled the bodies with the Juubis chakra.
Thats why when Naruto uses the Kyuubis chakra because he is only using the Yang chakra it takes the shape of whose chakra it was i.e. the SOSP but it was tainted by the Kyuubi so its partly SOSP hence the image but because its mixed with Kyuubi it has some of its traits too.

sounds legit, Yin and Yang sounds a little messy for me so I skip thinking about that too much and wait for the next chapter

DDS can split anything. It wasnt Minato he just requested it from DDS.
And Yin - Yang was used for Izanagi to create the bodies for the 9 tailed beasts and fill them with the chakra just for a bit more info.
And Naruto just split the Body & chakra from the Kyuubi not Yin & Yang to my knowledge anyway.
And the only chakra the Kyuubi has is the Yang...but Naruto signed a scroll on frog mountain which may have unleased the full Kyuubi...but some think thats trapped foreve in DDS...who knows???

If that's possible your Yin/Yang theory won't work. I'm pretty sure there isn't Yin/Yang within Yin. IDK but yeah.

No he sealed it within the DDS.
But the scroll Naruto signed may have given Naruto it back...somehow.
He made a key to the scroll for his stomach seal. Its very hard to grip it.
But I think Naruto has the Whole thing to the Kyuubi.
But Yeah. Let me reread you and tm's theories to get a better opinion.
