Naruto and Sasuke's Friendship

Now i need you guys to help me out here. Alot of my friends at school that watch Naruto and/or read the manga say that Naruto and Sasuke absolutely hate each other. I keep telling them that they are wrong. At least to me Sasuke and Naruto are friends. Naruto himself has done a lot for Sasuke. Sasuke did save Naruto from Haku afterall even though yes i know it was a long time ago. They both spared eachother's life before. Hell they even called each other friends before lol. I don't know apparently to them i'm the wrong one. Deep down i think they see each other as best friends. What do y'all think?

They have no mutual friendship, its completely one sided. Ain't gotta be friends to save someone's life, I guess its more of a responsibility.

They understand each other purely through their rivalry. I don't know how they are now, but beforehand, Sasuke did hate Naruto for his stubbornness of not letting him go, but he did respect him for his fighting prowess. They've seen each other as rivals since they were kids.

With sasuke now knowing how important the village was to his brother and how naruto treasures the village himself calling himself the next hokage. sasuke has to respect that and are fighting on equal ground. Naruto considers sasuke to be his friend whether sasuke wanted to be hokage or not.

It's definitely been one sided for most of the series, Naruto has always been trying to get his attention but I think Sasuke will find some clarity and meaning in their friendship when something happens to Naruto.

^MOSTLY THIS^ Personally, I've always felt that they are friends...even if Sasuke doesn't show it. After all, he was going to kill Naruto back during their fight at the Valley of the End in order to gain the Mangekyo Sharingan. He would have only decided that if he saw him as a friend. I think when all is said and done there won't be any doubt about it.
