Naruto and Sasuke will end like Hashi and Madara

Or here's a novel idea; the protagonist matures into realizing his ideals are moronic and that the antagonists are the ones who are the closest to true peace than anyone else out there -- but lol this is Naruto so nvm I guess.

Ehm, except the moon eye plan is not closer to true peace, it's but a mere scapegoat from reality, and you dare to call Naruto's ideals moronic... now thats ironic don't you think?

The deal with Madara for me is that I understand his point of view, but personally, I wouldn't be able to stand the route he's going. Freedom is far too pivotal factor for me in human life, and nothing comes without a price. Freedom comes with the price of screwing up every now and then. That's just human nature; I think any rational human being can see that what he wants to do is akin to running away (quite childishly, I might add) from that reality of human nature in favor of a dream world.

Naruto, no matter how simplistic his views are, is on the right side of the issue though not entirely for the right reasons. More-so because of "YOU HURT MY FRIENDS NOW DIE". It's inevitable for him to be the victor in the end. He will bring Sasuke back to the good side, he will defeat the current antagonists (or he'll assist at the very least) and he will accomplish all of his goals -- and all because Kishimoto has written himself into a corner. If he does not deliver on all of these points, the manga will be an irredeemable failure and it puzzles be that he's restricted himself so much in terms of storyline.

Yes, that's how I see things with Madara, too. I'm torn based on what he wants and how he's going about it. Peace cannot truly happen. Not in a world where humans exist. They will always make mistakes, allow feelings to get in the way, etc... and as for the running away, Obito seems to be along the same lines, too. He coldn't face the reality of a world without Rin and now he wants to join Madara is this perfect world he promised him.

True, Naruto's going about it for reasons not fully connected to the seriousness of the situation. Taking it personally is not the best option, especially how he reacted after Neji died. It was like he suddenly couldn't deal with the reality that his friends will die. That alone is something he can't afford to have get in his way when he faces Sasuke, and at the same time he needs to maintain his strength he gains from his emotions.

If his battle with Sasuke ends in a repeat of Hashirama and Madara, to me it would feel like Kishimoto failed in his attempt to keep Naruto's beliefs alive that he's been spouting to everyone since day one.

Hey, moron. What's Naruto's road to "true peace"? Oh, right. He has NO f*cking idea. He's merely a child that was saddled up with the imbecilic views of those who came before him (Jiraiya, Minato, Nagato, etc). He has no plan of action. He has no answer.

Compared to the "solution" Madara & Obito have come up with... yes, it's closer to "true" peace than having no plan whatsoever. Think before you spout nonsense :|

You just said Naruto's ideals are moronic because he has no answer to peace(like that's something easy) while you consider the zombie and Obito's plan closer to peace just because having a plan is better, even if it's stupid and a mere deceit.

Not to burst your bubble, but Naruto is achieving real peace indirectly with his actions, little by little, yes, he's not as good as the joker zombie with words, but people are willing to die for his ''moronic'' ideals because they actually believe in him, I guess that's a start isn't it?, at least he's not willing to sacrifice reality and submerge the entire population in an infinite ''happiness and peace'' dream world against their will.

I think the fight will go the same way as Hashirama and Madara's, only the end or the result will be different. Remember, Hashirama said that he had to kill his friend to protect the village, and that goal of protecting the village caused him to change, to where he was willing to kill his friend to reach it.

Naruto keeps saying over and over that he'll never change, during the current fight with Tobito, while Tobito keeps telling him everybody changes and turns into someone like him. Either die a hero or live and become trash. So maybe Naruto is going to prove that he'll never change. He also told Sasuke to save up all his hate and take it all out on him, and then they'll both die. And then in the other world they'll finally understand each other. I don't know if that means that Naruto will kill him at the same time. Naruto said "If I die, you die." So maybe what he meant was that Sasuke will die as a consequence.

Also, nearer the beginning of Shippuden, Kurama warned Sasuke DON'T KILL NARUTO, or he'll regret it. So I wonder what he meant by that.

I think the last fight will be pretty rad because all kinds of things will have to come together that have been established pretty early. The Hashirama/Madara fight is pretty cool because it's setting up all kinds of expectations now, because the Naruto/Sasuke fight is going to be very similar, and the climax will be the most exciting, because people are going to wonder the most about the end.

I suspect Naruto gets to a point where he has Sasuke and could kill him, but despite every one telling him to he doesn't.

Sorry bro but it wont be the same. And their dialogues arent entirely the same.
Hashirama: Whoever that attacks Konoha, I will kill the person to protect it, be it my brother sister or friend.
Naruto: If Sasuke attacks the village, I will find a way to protect Konoha without killing Sasuke, because he is my friend.
