Naruto and Sasuke were willing to destroy a chunk of the planet to seal Madara?

You're kidding me. This moon is smaller then random sector of NV planet, which doesnt even get to have 1/4 of circumference.

I hope this is enough for you to grasp why its not 1/4 of the planet or will you need rapid geometry tutoring?

Kakashi only proves moon to planet proportion is not like in real word then.

Uh, you can see the planet's cultivator and it's getting bigger as Kakashi states. So it's getting there.

It takes three days for ninjas with superhuman speed and stamina to go from the Leaf to Sand village. 30 days to get to the Land of Toads. So their planet is pretty big.

It may gotten a bit bigger but not that much as there arent much debris attracted any more.

At any rate to answer your question, this particular CT did not atract humans so its mostly safe for NV.

Given the threat of mankind extinction, its minor losses.

They were standing outside its range. Even if that was the case it would have still killed many people. Just look at the damage earthquakes cause. The highest death total has been estimated to be 655,000. Something like this would do worse than that.

Given the threat of mankind extinction, its minor losses.

They didn't know about the Zetsu part until chapter 679 and there were other ways.

At this point of the plot, the five leaders of the known world thought the lives of thousand of people should be worthy of stopping a lotus eater machine. What's one quarter of the planet compared to?

The allience actually didn't know much about the Moon Eye Plan except that it was a global Genjutsu. Obito didn't mentioned the dream world to them until after becoming a jin. But even then he doesn't mention that the dreams are based on their own individual desires and that they won't know they are in a dream. He also left out how they would be connected to the God of their world and its virtual energy keeping them alive forever, basically making them immortal. So the Moon's Eye Plan is literally turning the world into a heaven for eternity. But the bad guys left the allience in the dark about it. The only reason why some people were glad by the release of IT in ch699 was because they thought they would eventually die of dynyperation, starvation, or old age.

Only Naruto and Sasuke knew through Hagoromo.

The only concern the kages(and any other member of the Alliance) ever demonstrated was "this should never be TRUE peace", that was what Gaara said.

Nothing was said about starvation, dynyperation or old age.

Please, stop lying.

Obito at the summit said that he was going to put the world under a Genjutsu and didn't explain what kind. Had Obito explained his plan in detailed to the allience this would have happened.

A plan that gets rid of pestilence, war, famine, and death while making them happy sounds appealing to a lot of people.

Nothing was said about starvation, dynyperation or old age.

Please, stop lying.

That's the only reason why anyone would be glad to their perfect world.

Really? He knows of IT he knew of madara, he knew of the plan most likely.

Explaining them wasnt necessary.

He didn't knew about Black Zetsu.

Explaining it would have motived them more and Madara could have used the knowledge.

What kind of excuse is that? You're not very open minded. Your thread is already exhausted.

OMG, what are you trying to prove again?

Look man, you can't judge how bad is a decision from an omniscient POV as a viewer. The Alliance had an limited grasp of the plan, and we must judge their actions based on that limited grasp.

And again, I will repeat this a thousand of times, the only reaction Obito ever got from the Alliance was "this isn't true peace". There was nothing about starving, paralyzed, while the moon shines red.

You were saying that the Kages were against a lotus eater machine[ ] to the point of sacrificing thousands of ninja. My point is that they didn't know that the Genjutsu was a lotus eater machine until after it was casted.

However, Naruto and Sasuke knew the details of the Jutsu(minus the Zetsu asspull) through Hagoromo. So I can say that they were making a bad call if they knew the level of damage the seal would cause. That's worse than a lotus eater machine in my eyes.
