Why would sun mark+moon mark=Moon?

It doesn't make sense.

Unless, that is, Naruto's hand represents not the Sun, but the bright side of the Moon.

The seals actually combined to be the full moon, as evinced with CT.

Naruto is the bright side of the moon and Sasuke is the dark side.

Look at Kaguya's eye. It's a combination of Naruto's and Sasuke's seal.

Look at the moon. The bright side is from Naruto's seal and the dark side is from Sasuke's. The dark side is the crescent on Sasuke's hand and the bright side is the white circle on Naruto's hand.

Actually that is fire surrounding Naruto's symbol. (Look at the god on the left side. The seal actually looks like its making an eclipse which involves the sun and moon

i was thinking that also, but look at the seal next to hogoromo's image in the background. naruto seal is on fire, had it been the moon it wouldn't be like that.
