Both did zip! Everyone's d*** riding one or the other but the fact is that Maddy just kicked Naruto aside, went god mode on Hashi, and then toyed with Sasuke. They did not leave even the tiniest dent in Madara, that's why these chapters are meant to showcase his abilities. Sasuke and Naruto are fodder to him right now, the only way they'll be able to stop him is if they work together. Ya know, like they did on Obito and it worked splendidly.
