Naruto and Sasuke questions on being equal and countering strongest move Spoiler

Just want to clear up something on here that's got alot of people aggravated and believe me it even had me for a sec to.

This picture^^ above really pissed me off at first. I was like Sasuke just powered up to the SO6P level and Naruto still countered it. That just contradicts Kishi saying that they were going to be equal in the end.

But then I found out why it countered it. Sasuke's base element was lightning in that jutsu. Naruto's was wind. Even if Sasuke's attack was more powerful than Naruto's it still would have to go against it's weakness which is the wind element that Naruto was using.

I do believe that Sasuke's attack was stronger than Naruto's, but the only reason it lost was because lightning is weak to wind.

I know this seems obvious that I am bringing this up but I have looked around and have not seen a thread explaining this. I just see Naruto fan boys prowling around toying with Sasuke fans "saying Naruto countered Sasuke on SO6P level. Sasuke was never equal to Naruto."

But I'm just here to clear this part up.

Your response of sesuke's being stronger but weaker because of the element makes no sense.

If it indeed was stronger then it would have overpowered the other jutsu despite the elemental weakness.

They are equals, however Naruto sets the distinguishing factor of superiority. The basis Kishi has set up of "Never giving up" prevails over all.

Not necessarily. Sasuke definitely has more powerful chakra than Naruto. Naruto just has more chakra than Sasuke.

The lightning jutsu is a more powerful technique than what Naruto used. I just described why Naruto's technique countered it. It was only countered because it was going against it's weakness, wind. I never described as being powerful enough to overcome it's weakness, I just described it as a jutsu that was more powerful than Naruto's.


A technique can be more powerful than another technique using its weakness and still be countered. The only reason that would happen though is if the stronger technique was going against it's weakness. Naruto's jutsu was weaker but it was more resistant to lightning than any other element.

The weaker technique even though is less powerful than the stronger technique is resistant enough to counter it. Hope you understand

It really doesn't matter, if it was so much stronger(despite sasuke being powered up) it should have obliterated naruto’s attack. Temari/danzo fuuton plus lets say mei lava style would not match sasuke arrow. Kishi has depicted a powered up sasuke matching the same naruto since sage powers(who is supposedly low on chakra).

the only reason naruto’s attacks didn't win over was because sasuke had more power to match the elemental advantage.

Brother , your arguments are fine. Yet they lack mathematical precision .

No where in the manga , the countability of power any element is defined nor explained. They have been presented in a roundabout manner.

Besides who is greater than whom does not matter anymore , for the manga is about to end and war is over.

Countered with only two (he has thrown 6 before). Naruto is not even trying to kill suckske, only trying to power him down because he wants to fight "...properly..." as shinobis.

The whole fight is contrived and pure fan service anyway. Kishimoto neg diffs readers for manga sales.
