With the latest chapter, there seems to be an awful lot of discussion on whether or not Sasuke will stick with this new path, whether he'll make amends with Naruto, will they ever have their final fight, etc.
And I just wanted to point out a bit of Kishi's style that I've noticed. He loves parallelism. You can see it in so many places, its obvious. Naruto and Sasuke are basically Hashirama and Madara, Kakashi and Obito, etc etc. ( albeit not exactly, but I'm sure you all know what I'm getting at)
Now, what did we just finish reading the last few weeks? The history of Hashirama and Madara. In which they were friends, fought, made up, and ended with Madara turning his back once again, which of course ended up with one last fight at the Final Valley.
I believe this is what Kishi will do. Sasuke will make amends with Naruto, and the two will be friends again (much like how Madara trusted Hashirama after Izuna's death). The Juubi, Madara, and Obito will be defeated.
Next, I truly think Orochimaru will end up being the main villian again. I cant explain why, its more of a hunch, and it will bring things full circle like they were in Part 1. That doesnt really matter to my points though. During this time, Sasuke and Naruto will be friends for a while. This, I think, is essential because (in my opinion) Kishi BARLEY emphasized the bond Naruto and Sasuke have. After a couple years, you'd think Naruto would give up on Sasuke because the bond wasn't really established as a "brother bond" that well in Part 1. Maybe it was, I dont think so, but it sure wouldnt hurt to build their friendship more so that the bond is more recent than a couple of 12 year-olds that were on a team.
And now, just as Madara left the village, Sasuke will (for some reason or other) leave the village again. And Naruto will, of course, chase again. Sasuke, at this point will be the main antagonist. No Akatsuki, no Oro, no Root, no other countries; just Naruto vs Sasuke, the way it should end. Naruto and Sasuke will have the final fight we've been promised and thats the only final fight I believe will do this series justice. How that fight ends, I cant say.
In conclusion, Sasuke will be good for now, strengthen the bond he has with Naruto, leave again like Madara, and then he can have his fight with Naruto at the very end.
This is the only way I can see that involves Sasuke helping the Alliance and still having the final fight. only big flaw I can think of is I remember Kishi mentioning the end of the series soon, and I dont know if that fits in his time frame. A lot of people have said they beleived the War is the last arc.
Thoughts, feedback, etc. All appreciated.
