Ok, that almost made me cry back...I mean, that almost made me manly sweat through my eyes. I was young, i ddin't what was canon, or what as anime at all.
But come on man, canon or not, that ending was very emotional.

Meh, only really emotional moments in DBZ was when Vegeta died on Namek and against Buu, when Piccolo saved Gohan and when Goku reacted to Krillin's death. And OP already has better feels moments due to superior plot and development IMO.

^_^ Hit the nail upon the head it is also my preferred Anime dealing in sadness. That movie is so sad...I try to get my gf to watch it all the time. She's too much of a gamer....while I'm into Anime/Manga. Guys I highly recommend this movie....it's so deep on so many levels. Talking about it makes me want to watch it......for some reason.

You mean the fact that the entire Earth defeated Buu (using Goku as a medium) instead of "let's just have one person train his ass off and get stronger than everyone and defeat the main enemy (who he made stronger in the first place)"?

Clannad is on par with DBZ ending, it was beautiful in my opinion, both of them.
