For all the saving of the ninja world he has done, one would think that Tsunade would just give him Chunnin, hell, Jonin...
But no, he must take a freakin exam...what a bitch

It's true that he is a gennin, however, this does not reflect his strength or intelligence. He merely hasn't had the time to sit the Ghunin exams, that's the only reason is still is gennin.

He's easily kage level.
