So if the rumours are right and Kishi-sensei does a third child with Byakugan and since Hinata is no heiress would make sense if she was placed has Bunke member (since Hanabi took her place and she would probably go to Bunke) and if one of her offspring had Byakugan they would be placed in bunke with a Hyuga Souke no Juinjutsu.

Naruto should have dealt with the Hyuga clan stuff(or is doing so) as Hokage, also the Kid would be an Uzamaki(just with Byakugan). Only Hanabi's kids will be become the head.

Clan affiliation and surname are not based on strength. It is based on the surname of the father. That is why they are Bolt and Himawari Uzumaki. It is not because Naruto is stronger. Besides, the Uzumaki clan is dead except for Karin, Tsunade (her grandmother Mito was Uzumaki), Naruto, Bolt, and Himawari. Meanwhile, the Hyuuga clan is still alive and thriving. Naruto is the son of only one Uzumaki, while Hinata is the daughter of presumably two Hyuugas (which makes for increased chances for Bolt and Himawari to have Hyuuga traits). Finally, at family reunions and holidays, they most assuredly head over to the Hyuuga compound since as I said before, Naruto's side of the family is dead. These facts would make Bolt and Himawari lean more so towards the Hyuuga side rather than the Uzumaki. If my father's side of the family was gone long before I was born and the only other family I had was my mother's side, I'd identify more so by my mother's side too (even if my last name was my father's).

Mmmmmmmmmm. Hard to say. Assuming this character is not fake, she would either be revered for being immensely strong with the traits of both Uzamaki and Hyuga, or would be looked down on for being an impure Hyuga half-breed. I would like to say this though. If the whole branch system is still in place, it's likely that Hinata is the heiress. I somehow doubt that the title "Byakugan princess" would not have a part of this. For such a title, Hinata either is the heiress of the Hyuga, or has the best inheritance byakugan wise.

So uh, no. Not really going to have another child. It's more like if he wants to fix the mild error and give the byakugan to one of their children, then he's going to have to ask NaruHina make another one lol~ (The hypothetical third child would then have it).

The tone of Kishimoto laughing here is more on the side of joking about correcting his oversight of how Boruto and Himawari didn't have the byakugan on accident. (And implies that they'd need a new kid for that ) I think the "it's complicated" part of his answer refers more likely to how the bloodline limit (/genetics work) for why the first two kids didn't win the genetic lottery of the byakugan... but how this hypothetical third child will. He would need to explain it~"

I think that only applies when both parents are from clans of the same social level. (Uzumaki is as prestigious as Senju, Hyuuga and Uchiha). If Sasuke was a Haruno and Sakura an Uchiha then his kids would have inherited the Uchiha name.

And IMO Bolt should be an Uzumaki considering the clan's almost extinct, and that would also add a parallel to Sarada who has to rebuild Uchiha clan.
