Naruto admires Nagato more than Asuma

It seems that Naruto holds Nagato in higher esteem than Asuma.

Nagato was a mass murderer who killed hundreds including Jiraiya, but since he killed himself at the end, in Naruto's mind that makes him a hero. But Naruto doesn't even acknowledge Asuma who sacrificed his life to protect Konoha.

yes. naruto admires nagato more than asuma.
why? because he had the drive and the ability to try and carry out world peace. naruto and him were after the same thing...and as nagato explained, they just had different ways of doing it.

Asuma was fodder who died to develop Shikamaru and his pals. Besides, Naruto didn't really have much interaction with him. He even interacted a few times with Kuranai and Gai

They didn't have any special relationship and naruto and Nagato had the same sensei and had the same beliefs until Nagato went radical with his beliefs. naruto changed Nagato back to too before he died. Naruto and asuma didn't have any close connection or relationship.
