Chapter 4: A new old friend
The mizukage arrives back at the mist after giving up Chase of the anbu squad. He immediately hits the streets as if he is in search of something or..someone.
"I don't get how I let you talk me into these things"
Says kakashi
"Trust me its fool proof we can get tons of information like this."
Says jin as they walk through the newly built mist village dressed as mist ninja.
"The anbu squad has the mizukage distracted so were free to do whatever we need to."
They continue to walk until they notice the kage mansion, they go towards it.
"State your business!"
Demands a mist guard at the front door of the mansion.
"We have sensitive information for the mizukage to take a look at."
Jin says while he looks at the sky.
"It's getting cloudy"
The mist guard looks up and kakashi slips in behind him leaving a shadow clone in his place almost perfectly quiet.
"Well ok I guess you won't let us in so we''ll be on our way."
Says jin as he turns away with the shadow clone of kakashi and walks in the opposite direction.
Only as soon as he turned around the mizukage is storming up the street to his mansion...
"Oh shit!"
Yells jin as he freezes in fear of kakashi getting caught.
Back at the leaf village naruto is doing his paper work in his office.
"I hope I didn't send sasuke on too hard of a mission, I hope he's ok.."
Thinks naruto.
A small gust of wind from the window darts his hair out of his face, he looks up toward the door in front of him as if expecting someone.
"So you actually did it... Your hokage.."
Says a mysterious voice behind naruto.
Naruto's eyes widen with surprise, he's frozen.
"Ok team were going to have to kill this guy here because if we don't he could follow us back to the leaf."
Says kiba, Doman and sasuke lunge at Suigetsu with kunai drawn.
Suigetsu blocks both with his oversized katana and knocks them away. Sasuke lands on one knee and activates his jyuken style, chakra circulating his hands. Doman using his eyes sends chakra at Suigetsu from all sides and angles, he has no chance of dodging. Instead he turns his body into his complete liquid form to evade the attack.
"Good Doman keep attacking!"
Yells kiba from the sidelines.
Suigetsu slides out of the way in the form of a blob of water. He then jumps at sasuke ready to attack, but throws his sword at suki while he flies toward sasuke.
"Suki dodge!"
Yells Doman
Suki jumps over the blade only leaving herself open to attack, Suigetsu fires water needles directly at her. Unable to dodge she guards her face with her arms, kiba jumps to grab her successfully. Sasuke attacks with a side chop Suigetsu again evaded and forms seals.
"Suiton! Water prison!"
Sasuke is nearly captured when he remembers his special training with neji a week before, and unleashes his jutsu.
"KAITEN"
yells sasuke
A swirl of chakra is released from his body and it knocks Suigetsu away a few yards back.
Doman and kiba guard Suigetsu sword.
"An absolute defense huh? nice"
Says Suigetsu as he raises his hand, his sword raises as well and flies to his hand.
"Sasuke finish him off"
Says kiba
Sasuke looks back at kiba, then at Suigetsu, and fires up a rasengan in both hands, the rotation so strong it makes standing difficult for him, he runs toward Suigetsu and attacks.
Suigetsu blocks with his sword and the rasengan collides with it...
"I can't believe its you, I thought you were dead"
Says naruto to the hooded man in the white cloak standing behind him.
"Well, I'm here and I have something to tell you"
Says the man
"Ok well speak."
Says naruto
"The akatsuki is in full swing again, their motives have changed, and they will be here soon."
Says the man.
"They no longer have the tailed beast in their vision, they only want total control of all the land."
"Why would you help me?"
Ask naruto
"I'm not doing this for you, I'm doing it for the leaf, its what "he" wanted, and I will do as he asked of me."
"Then why don't you come back to us sasuke?!"
Ask naruto while extending his hand to sasuke hoping he will take it.
Sasuke slaps his hand away and says
"Don't extend your hand to me as if I'm welcome back. You may except me but your people won't, and I am not about to live in a place where I'm hated and constantly a Target."
"........." Naruto is speachless
"Like I said I'm only doing this for itachi, granted I have no interest in destroying your village anymore, I also have no interest in returning to it, I'm doing just fine on my own."
"Sasuke....I..."
Says naruto
"......go on"
"Whoever is in charge of this new akatsuki knows edo tensei and is using my brother as a weapon, he's under complete control and is being staged as the leader to take all the blame. Even in his death he is looked at as a criminal, and I'm going to stop it."
Says sasuke.
"Sasuke....I....I can't let you live"
Says naruto looking at his feet.
Without speaking sasuke activates his Susano'o it is much bigger than before it crashes through the ceiling and towers over the village, at the same time naruto activates his perfected bijuu mode and faces sasuke. Glowing like polished gold in the sun ready to battle.
"NARUTOOO!!!!"
A shrill voice yelled
Naruto jerks himself awake after being startled by the scream he looks up with drool on his mouth.
"Hinata??"
"Yes its me, are you ok? I tried to wake you up like 80 times and you wouldn't budge."
Naruto looks up at the ceiling, no damage..
He looks over at the window and it was open.
"Was it a dream?"
Naruto says with a sad expression..
Maybe that's all its ever been... A dream...END
