Also, it's possible that it might still be Rikudou Sennin. I don't know why, but I still think we're yet to hear more from him / about him. And, he's still a mysterious entity to everyone else but Naruto and Sasuke

the translation was done after the dear thing...because as its explained, the あいつ is tied with the next terms concluding from the context it's not a dear person.

listen...dont blame me....i actually made set of threads explaining that the mystery of tobi isn't over and that the reall identity of tobi is obito and madara and spiral zetsu all being in one body..but the boss tobi was madara..madara didn't die but in truth he was alive by sealing his empty shell within obito's body and controling him...so basically tobidara is the 2nd madara and the reall villain of this manga..the truth of the masked man will be revealed in few next coming chapters
now these guys harass me me alot just becuz i posted this theory so blame them for annoying me and dont blame me

tobidara reveal will happen for sure...the reall tobi madara has to emerge , but im not sure if he is the mystery man of the next chapter...so my deal is about tobidara will happen..but not necessary the mystery man that the OP is talkin about

ot: I would love for it to be Rikudo's brother, I don't believe that the cocoon is unraveling in that scan.. I think it is just finishing its wrap and moving up the tree but I could be wrong.

I also don't see how it could be Obito, especially if those translations are correct.
