These colorings are official? I'd have to do a little research before I believe that.

If Madara's hair turned red after absorbing all the Bijuu (or God tree?), that would be very suggestive. I wonder what's the Uzumaki's relation to this is, if any relation at all. His mother's chakra seems to be inhabiting the tree, so that opens the door for another interpretation.

Though, this depends on the colorings being official.

That's true. Though, I'd have to go and find a colored page/cover with an Uzumaki in it (done by Kishi himself, of course), since the red hair that I have in mind is from the anime =/.

that's not the typical uzumaki red tint, that's the sage's red-dirty pink tint, shown in the chapter where sage talks to naruto about indra and ashura
