this chapter was awesome! as a madara fanboy I'm glad i got to see him happy and acknowledge someone other then his buttbudy hashirama and I'm glad it was gai of all people! the red beast of the hidden leaf village

I didn't really like the chapter either..
Madara getting abused was cool, but now Gai will live? Everytime they talked about the 8th gate, they said "you WILL die." But nope, not Gai. This puts Gai at top 3 for me, for obvious reasons.

Guy storms
Naruto and Sasuke stand (which might I say that picture was beautiful, the drawings, parallelism between both their backgrounds and themselves, Karin[sasuke side ho] and kabuto[bad guy he fought and who healed him] looking up to Sasuke, Sakura [side ho] and Obito [bad guy he fought and who healed him] looking up to Naruto)
Small kakashi and guy first meeting flashback
Guy unleashes a devastating taijutsu dragon whirland type move that spins the air so hard madara can't move and kicks him so hard that guy breaks his leg and madaras ribs.
Both fighters remain on the ground, madara half his body punctured and guy who is about to die and turn to ashes
Madara sends black ball to finish guy, Naruto arrives on battlefield and kicks the ball out the way claiming he is surprising himself and gives guy some life energy(yang so6p)
Don't hate, there were many good things and things to acknowledge of this chapter

I do not recall them ever saying that there was no way to save a 8th gate user. It only mentioned the toll taken on the users body, will cause death, due to the user being unable to recover from it. It makes no mention of inevitable death regardless of any medical jutsu used. It just mentions the 8th gate being used would mean if hashi used it, he could not heal himself from it, regardless of his incredible self healing. Or tsunade could not survive even with yin seal.
We do not know if gai will actually live though. This could just be a temporary thing to allow gai to say goodbye.
However i will be very upset if gai makes a full recovery from this. All the other gates cause temporary sever effects. If the 8th gate does not cause a lasting effect, then I will be disappointed.
