Naruto 670: That Which Was Entrusted

{Scenery}
{First Panel shows Naruto slowly sitting up in his mindscape with a puzzled expression}
Naruto- (groans) Where am I? What happened? The last thing I remember was fighting with Madara and…! (remembers Kurama being extracted from him) Kurama!!!
{Naruto hears a voice and turns around}
Yin-Kurama- We were very lucky that I was sealed into you in time, even a few seconds later and you would have died from the removal of my other half.
Naruto-(confused) How are you still here? And you seem a bit different than before.
Yin-Kurama- I was the half that was sealed in Minato, but I was sealed into you in order to prevent your death after losing my other half. Unfortunately, the original transfer was intercepted by that Zetsu guy, but with the help of Obito we were able to take a piece of the eight-tails and that annoying racoon’s chakra back from Madara.
Naruto-(saddened) I see… (I couldn’t even protect Kurama or the other bijuu)
(Naruto remembers what Kurama said during the fight with unmasked Obito)
Yang-Kurama- The Fourth entrusted me to him. And he was able to befriend me and use my power. The Fourth sealed me into him so that he could defeat you!
(Naruto remembers his promise to Kurama when fighting the 5 bijuu)
Naruto- Let’s go Kurama!! Let’s remove them at the same time!! (I will free them all!! And then save them without fail!!)
(Naruto remembers Son thanking him after the bijuu were removed from Jinchuuriki Obito)
Son Goku- You made good on your promise, Uzumaki Naruto! You really saved us!
(Flashback End)
{Naruto is seen clenching his hands}
Yin-Kurama- You know when I was first unsealed from the Shiki Fuujin I was surprised to feel the chakra of my other half perfectly synced with yours. When Minato arrived at the battlefield, I was able to listen to how passionately you spoke about your father. I realized that you must have been very special to be able to befriend my other half.
{Naruto looks at Kurama with a surprised expression as Kurama continues speaking}
Yin-Kurama- When I first synced with my other half, I was able to gain access to my other half’s memories. Not only were you able to befriend him, but you were also able to gain the trust of my brethren that they were all willing to tell you their names. You did not treat us like tools or pets like Madara, you did not suppress and barter us away like the First Hokage, you did not shut me out like Mito or Kushina, but treated all of us not just as comrades but as equals.
Naruto-(flustered) Thanks Kurama.
Yin-Kurama- Now you’re not going to give up on me now are you?
Naruto-(grins) Of course not. I never go back on my word and I always keep my promises because that’s my ninja way! We’ll save Kurama and all the other bijuu no matter what it takes.
{Yin-Kurama and Naruto are shown fist-bumping}
????- I don’t think I’ve ever heard you speak so enthusiastically of anyone that way before, eh Kurama.

{The sewer like mindscape instantly shifts and the scene shows Naruto and Kurama in a room with a seal like pattern on the ground. There are four concentric rings of seal symbols. The innermost ring is surrounded by six black triangles pointing outward, and six tomoe located right between the triangles. In the center are two lit torches.}

????- It’s been a long time hasn’t it Kurama but it looks like now the time has finally come.
Yin-Kurama- It can’t be you are…!
Naruto- (confused) Umm. I’m sorry but who are you exactly?
????- I’m glad to finally be able to meet you Naruto Uzumaki. My name is Hagoromo Ootsutsuki.
Naruto-(with a look of great concentration) I could swear that I’ve heard that name somewhere before.
{Yin-Kurama shakes his head and Hagoromo chuckles at Naruto and stands up holding the object on his lap shown to be his staff}
{Naruto recalls the info transmitted by the First’s clone to the alliance and his eyes grow wide}
Naruto- You are the Sage of the Six Paths!!!
Hagoromo- Yes you are correct. Before my death I placed portions of my chakra into each of the bijuu large enough to last several millennia so that one day I could appear in front of any person who possessed the chakra of all the bijuu and who understood the meaning of true strength.
{Scene switches to Minato who has just teleported all the black balls far out of Madara’s range to control them}
Minato- This location is my marking farthest away from Madara that is not located near any cities or towns. If Madara is not able to recreate those orbs, he will have to come in range to reaquire them. That should buy us some more time to come up with another plan.
{Minato teleports back to kunai he gave to Kakashi}
{Scene switches back to the Madara and Gai’s battle}
Lee- I can’t believe it he took a direct hit from Gai-sensei’s strongest attack and is still standing.
Kakashi-(He was able to survive that attack with so little damage and is still eager for more. With my left eye going blind, the loss of sensei’s arms, and Gai using the eighth gate there is not much more we can do)
{Minato appears next to Kakashi, Gaara, and Lee and observes Madara and Gai}
Minato- He took that much direct force and is still standing. (I suppose that is to be expected of one who possesses the power of the Sage.)
Minato- Everyone listen up! Gai won’t be able to last much longer so we need to act quickly.
Gaara- What do you suggest we do?
Minato- I want each of you to take two of my kunai. Throw them around Madara making a circle with about a 10 meter radius with Madara at the center. I will use my Rasen Senkou Chourinbu Kousanshiki to stall Madara, though it won’t as effective without my arms.
Kakashi- Sensei I thought that you never completed that technique.
Minato- I was able to field test it several times before my death. My jutsu will disorient Madara for about 90 seconds. When that time is up, I want you Gaara-kun to restrain Madara with your sand, even if it’s just for a second. Kakashi then you will hit Madara with your strongest ranged Raiton technique, then Lee-kun and Gai will launch the final attack.
Lee/Kakashi/Gaara- Understood!!
