Madara dashes toward them and fully prepared to land a blow with his staff
Gai makes a flashback of when Naruto said that he won't let anyone hurt his friends.
Gai: Forgive me kakashi. Eighth...Gate Opening!
Battlefield explodes with white energy, sending Madara crashing on his feet.
Madara: Hachimon? It's more powerful than last time and his chakra is....
Scene changes to the other side of the battlefield.
Lee is running but is stopped by Tenten.

Tenten: Don't Lee. He has already opened the gate of death. Gai-sensei is sacrificing himself to help us win this war.
Tenten makes a flashback of Gai's words

The aura arounds Gai become more powerful and concentrated.
SFX: Boulders rising and air current becomes wild.

Scene changes to kakashi who has moved far away from Guy
Kakashi is bracing himself from the violent energy.
Kakashi remembers gai when he was in academy

Gai: Clone jutsu
Nothing happens and all students laugh at him
Academy class is over and everyone goes home but gai sits by the shade of a tree looking lonely.
Kakashi tries to talk to him but instead provokes him in a fight.

Gai is panting.
Gai: How did you win with physical attacks only?
Kakashi: Taijutsu is only as powerful as the user. It's true that ninjutsu is the most basic thing to ninjas but taijutsu is what makes a true fighter.

Gai reflects on kakashi's words

Guy arrives on battlefield on time
Kakashi is surrounded by hundreds of chuunins but gai intervenes, going eight gates' mode. The two of them manage to take out all of them.
Scene changes to present
Gai: Raaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah
Energy explodes, creating absolute chaos on the battlefield and destroying everything.
SFX: Stabilising
SFX: Rocks falling
The energy around guy starts to gain shape and finally air currents stop
A white bird shows up in the sky

Dawn arrives and the few beams of light shine the atmosphere.
Guy is shown with an aura of white light. The marks on his hair have disappeared and his face is barely recognisable under the white energy. His hair is glowing and raised due to the powerful energy around his body.
Guy looks more serious than ever
Guy: I can't lose this battle because my life is on the line. It's over here and now!

Madara thinking: (I can't afford to use 5 percent of my power anymore but still, this brat is not worth my time. I will go with twenty percent.)
Madara powers up
His staff glows, changes from black to dark purple and becomes surrounded by lightning. A chakra aura forms around his body, destroying rocks nearby.
SFX: Crumbling
Madara: Oumyoudon- Black Chaos
The six bijuu damas fuse and become one.
SFX: Air currents becoming wild

Gai performs the seals of hirudora but this time adds natural energy.
Gai: The peacock changes into the tiger and then finally into the phoenix. I told you to not understimate me!!!
Gai:Rooooooar!!! Yoru no hōō!!! (English: Night Phoenix)
The atmosphere fills with light and a giant phoenix is hurled at Madara.
SFX: Destruction! Shockwave!

Obito is lying still on the ground
Sakura is shocked.
