its the prediction.
I don't think tail beast will die. Its a form of chakra i think.
but the manga didn't state that tail beast wont die as well.

so i think, its still have a possibility, tail beast can be kill.
The only person who try do this is Raigake, once attempt kill naruto , so kurama die and the tailed beast will be incomplete.

I agree with you that klling 1 of the tail beast is the best solution to stop madara having them all.

Consider madara can asorb any kind of chakra and ninjutsu, including natural energy. Even naruto in kyubi cloak and sasuke in ps.
Madara still can absorb their chakra once contact.

Though Naruto has already had his fight against a major villain, namely Obito. Sasuke is equivalent to Madara so that Sasuke would fight Madara and have most focus in the battle wouldn't be surprising. However, Naruto wasn't able to even injure Obito alone, Sasuke has already injured Madara alone, but he will not be able to defeat him alone.

If he wasn't able to sense it was Sasuke from before, then he wouldn't have let him attack him. As it could've been anyone who attack him. He also "looks" up on Sasuke when he is on Sai's bird even though Madara is blind. Having him hit by sasuke and grab his katana ( not willing to let go)show that madara is very interested to know sasuke more. Madara didn't grab Sasuke's blade to "sense" his chakra. He grabbed it so it wouldn't stab the Hashirama face Madara has on his chest.
