578: Legends never die
Kabuto smiles as Itachi has his back to him.
Itachi: "You seem to have it all figured out."
Kabuto: "There is absolutely nothing you can do."
Itachi turns around and he has the mangekyo sharingan. Then suddenly he turns into a bunch of crows that vanish into the sky.
Itachi: "Just like Orochimaru, you too have greatly underestimated the Uchiha."
Kabuto thinking: "Genjutsu..but when? How?!"
Itachi: "Now I will force you to end it."
Kabuto is putting his hands together as Itachi looks at him when suddenly something stabs through kabuto's chest. Itachi is visably shocked by what he sees. Sasuke appears behind kabuto with an evil looking smile.
Sasuke: "Know this Kabuto. You will not possess the sharingan. Ever."
Kabuto coughs up blood as sasuke twists his sword and then rips it out really fast. Kabuto has tears in his eyes as he falls to his knees and collapses to the ground.
Kabuto: "I..was so close. So very close."
Itachi looks over at Sasuke with obvious anger as he clenches his fist.
Itachi: "You fool! You realize what you have done!"
Sasuke: "I have ensured that you will never truly die. You can thank me later."
Madara uchiha is looking down at the kages when suddenly both Muu and Madara are suddenly shocked by something. Madara turns to look at Muu.
Madara: "It would appear the one who summoned us has died. We are no longer under his control."
Muu: "Im leaving this fight. I grow tired of playing with these children."
Madara: "I agree. These kages pose no challenge to me. Their healer is dieing and their forces are scattered. We can eliminate them later as we see fit."
Madara turns and looks down at Tsunade who is still impaled on the spike. Madara does a hand sign and slowly the spike retreats back into the ground leaving Tsunade laying on the ground with a big hole in her chest.
Madara: "I grow tired of playing with you all and have decided to spare your lives for now except yours. Hashirama if he were alive he would have never allowed such a weak generation to exist. Maybe a future generation will be stronger but for now this generation of the senju shall come to an end."
Tsunade: "What are you doing?"
Suddenly several branches spring from the ground and ensnare the kages in a trap of wood and vines. Madara looks down at Tsunade and performs a handsign.
Raikage: "Im trapped."
Garaa: "We gotta do something."
The kages are all suddenly shocked as Madara hits Tsunade with a flamethrower jutsu that hits her prone body as it lays on the ground. Tsunade screams in agony as the flames consume her entire body all at once.
Kages: "NNNNOOOOO!!!"
Madara then suddenly turns around and runs off along with muu as the kages struggle to get free. Suddenly the wood starts to splinter and break as the kages rush to Tsunade. Mizukage hits her immediately with a water jutsu but the damage has already been done as Tsunade has been badly burnt and her healing jutsu has ended leaving her a badly burned corpse. Garaa bends over to close her eyes as he looks down at her.
Tsuchikage: "We best contact the other groups and pull our forces back."
Garaa: "No. That is not what Tsunade would have wanted."
Garaa has tears in his eyes as he stands up.
Garaa: "We must press on and not forget the the lesson that the dead have taught us. "
Tsunade's body is shown being lifted onto a stretcher with cloth draped over her body.
Garaa: "Although some battles have been lost this day."
Itachi is shown looking ready to attack Sasuke as the body of kabuto lays on the ground.
Garaa: "There is no true peace except that which we make ourselves right now on this very day."
Naruto is shown greeting the rookie nine as they arrive on the battlefield.
Garaa: "It is their sacrifice that will help us to carry on in these troubled times. For as long as we fight in their name they shall never be forgotten."
Naruto, the rookie nin, kakashi, and guy are all staring at Tobi as if prepared for a big fight.

579: Assault on gedo maza/dangerous alliance
Sasuke and Itachi are having a heated arguement as Itachi heads through the woods.
Itachi: "I can't believe you did something so foolish!'
Sasuke: "Now you are truly immortal."
Itachi: "That means that not only am I immortal but so is everything that Kabuto summoned. There are hundreds of people that kabuto summoned who are not at all like me. You can not imagine the damage they will cause."
Sasuke: "We will deal with them together."
Madara is moving along with muu through the woods when suddenly he stops and performs a series of hand signs.
Muu: "What are you doing?"
Madara: "I want to see just how many of my kin are still alive and in the area?"
Madara raises his hand and suddenly a huge burst of flame shoots into the sky and spreads out form an uchiha symbol made of fire and smoke. Sasuke and Itachi instantly spot the signal as it appears in the distance.
Itachi: "Impossible! It cant be him!"
Sasuke: "Who? Who is it?!"
Itachi rushes in the direction of the flame sign as sasuke follows after him.
Itachi thinking: "Oh god! Please tell me that damn Kabuto didn't make him immortal too."
Naruto and shikimaru are huddled together as they both look at Tobi and gedo maza while the rest stand at a distance watching Tobi.
Shikimaru: "Considering how we have failed in the past to take Tobi out we best have a careful strategy this time."
Naruto: "We also have a larger issue to consider. That statue over there is gedo maza. The device the tailed beasts are sealed in. If we destroy that than we end this war right here right now."
Shikimaru: "I have seen its fighting capabilities so I know its extremely dangerous to take any kind of offensive or defensive stance without careful preparation."
Naruto: "There is a difference though. This time Tobi doesn't have enough chakra left to control it entirely so the real question is how to destroy it."
Shikimaru: "I guess its best we split into two teams with one distracting tobi and attempting to eliminate him while the other team will attempt to destroy gedomaza."
Naruto and Shikimaru turn to face the rest of the rookie nin.
Shikimaru: "Since you know the situation I will let you do the honors."
Naruto: "Thank you shikimaru. Listen up everybody!
Everyone turns to face naruto as he looks at all of them.
Naruto: "We are now at the moment where this war can either end with a victory or a monsterous defeat. Tobi over there is the one who has brought us into this war. It is him we have to thank for the suffering of so many."
Naruto points to gedo maza.
Naruto: "That right there is the source of our fears. It is the gedo maza. A device responcible for imprisoning the spirits of both the bijuu and the jinchuriki that akatsuki has slain in battle. In order to do this battle successfully we must destroy both of these targets no matter the cost."
Naruto points with both hands points towards them with his hands sepperated.
Naruto: "To that end we must split up. Two teams must fight these opponents seperately and focus only on the target specified. We can not allow Tobi to win this war. Shikimaru will be assigning you your sides in this fight. I will be on the team that fights tobi along with bee."
The groups slowly start to form as naruto watches shikimaru seperate them out.
Madara and Muu are standing still in the woods when suddenly madara turns to face a particular direction.
Madara: "Show yourselves. I sensed you the minute you arrived."
Sasuke: "Who are you exactly?"
Madara: "I am the progenitor that defined what it means to be Uchiha. I am Madara Uchiha."
Sasuke: "Ahh so you are the real madara uchiha."
Madara: "Yes. The other is not madara but instead one who works in my name."
Sasuke: "We both came to see....Itachi where are you?"
Black Zetsu slowly rises from the ground and stands before Madara Uchiha.
Madara: "And who are you?"
Zetsu: "I am one who has provided the army that works in your name. I have come to serve the one true master of akatsuki, madara uchiha."
As madara reaches out to shake hands with zetsu's hand he suddenly unsheaths his sword and narrowly blocks an attack from Itachi.
Itachi: "I can not allow you to start again the madness you started long ago!"
Sasuke: "Itachi stop it!"
Madara: "All of you step asside he is mine to face alone."
Itachi prepares to attack again as madara readies his own sword.
