filler or not,this episode was quite not it...the time lapse of the sage mode was wrong, naruto with kyubi mode at that age would be much stronger and if he used the same technique he used then he would be much powerful than then and there is way sasuke curse mark enhanced chidori would not counter it. and WTF is with it sasuke killing itachi and him disappearing like that.

I agree that this version of Naruto should be much stronger, but even Sage Mode couldn't have countered Kirin with just a base Rasenshuriken. Now that Itachi's body is gone Sasuke can't get EMS

Sasuke with half curse seal overpowers base Naruto at first, then Naruto whips out SM. Sensing Naruto's power, Sasuke then activates full curse seal & Sharingan. Naruto blitzes Sasuke with frog kumite. Sasuke uses dragon flame jutsu in the sky and uses Kirin (he says vanish with the thunder just like he did in the Itachi fight) Naruto's SM runs out and he uses a base rasenshuriken to counter kirin. Sasuke hits him with chidori and Naruto activates Kyuubi mode. Naruto gives Sasuke his headband and Sasuke acknowledges him as an equal. They proceed with their final chidori/rasengan attack and Itachi intercepts Sasuke's chidori at the cost of his life. Even with Itachi, the attack still went on just like in canon (Naruto scratching Sasuke's headband). In the end, Sasuke thinks of Itachi and awakens Mangekyo Sharingan

It felt like they rushed the fight. Everything happened too fast.

The Itachi part was very anti-climactic, it was *poof* Itachi appeared in the middle, then a short speech, then fades away like an edo-tensei even though he's flesh. That was obvious plot for Sasuke to get a power-up.
