Naruto 297 is about to air here in Japan, after 30mins or less it'll be posted on other sites with the english sub. 30mins left. It'll show Gaara meeting his father and Tsuchikage meeting the past Tsuchikage.

Or a filler. < - - not sure but I saw the preview and it looks like a filler.​

there putting bits of non cannon in with the cannon now so it slows down catching up with the manga. also gives a chance for the fight scenes to look better.
