It would be funny if Kishimoto is just building Hinata to die in the next chapter.

I'll admit Naruhina has 100 percent chance of happening and Narusaku has 0. So what, Kishi is a troll and you should have known that since Tobi was revealed to be Obito. I am not giving up call me in denial, dislike the thread, flame Narusaku fans do whatever you want but i am still standing strong. Narusaku has gone through too much development to throw it in the trash. When the chapter came out I gave up but then i was like forget that i want to be a b***h in denial making a narusaku thread so I did. One more thing what is with all the Naruhina threads I wonder how many threads there will be when something actually important happens.

I'LL be damned if i am expected to give up my shipping and yes i am a hardcore Narusaku fan.

You tell them NaruHina fans!

What development? Sakura was more or less oblivious about Narutos feelings until Sai exposed it, after which she decided to falsely confess to him. I dislike the Naruto/Hinata pairing but there really is no development of a mutual romantic (and not platonic) relationship between Sakura/Naruto. Kishi has failed to write a decent love story but this is a Shonen manga, most of us don't read it for the sake of these ridiculous pairings.

Still a better love story than twilight.

lol Sakura is going to come along and ruin the NaruHina moment again :D

Just like after Hinata confessed. Get ready mother****ers!

You need to realize something about this chapter. NARUTO grabbed Hinata's hand, not the other way around. and if that's not enough,he even goes on to say that he won't let go of her hand and shares his chakra with her

Oh, and sakura isn't going to ruin this moment at all, trust me. She may be useless, but she isn't a ****.

failed to write a love story? if this is really the romance part of the manga a freaking 6 year old could have done a better job. i wont lie either, im a narusaku fan, i dont dislike hinata but hers and sakuras little crushes on naruto and sasuke are the most pathetic and unhealthy forms of emotion i have ever seen..i mean the love aspect of this story in general is now not healthy for girls to watch at least lol...i mean the msg kind of comes out too, if you have big boobs and stalk the same boy for years on end even though you know nothing about him and just copy everything he does (dont deny it she has no personality of her own...everything she does is because naruto does it) and sakura..dont even get me started on that...sasuke showed care for sakura about as many times as naruto showed interest in hinata, and they have tried to kill each other. id rather her be alone than end up with sasuke or lee personally. the whole thing doesnt make sense really. when naruto says that he loves hinata or theres a kiss or something, ill admit i was wrong...but until then i say this is just too...simple and anticlimatic.

Narusaku has been dead since the Five Kage Summit, in fact after that moment Narusaku hasn't been touched upon at all. Deal with it.

I think everyone is placing far too much importance on the romantic undertones, here.

Hinata is standing next to Naruto as something of an equal - a comrade not simply in title but in function. It's a major step in becoming part of his life that will be difficult to slide back on. I don't think it's supposed to be romantic so much as it is showing that Hinata is able to stand at his side and Naruto is able to recognize that she's an active part of things.

While a powerful development - it does not automatically come with romantic development (the reason any of us see it as romantic is because we are looking for the romance that Naruto is not likely seeing, here). It's not as if they're going to start making out before the defeated Ten Tails hits the ground.

i wont lie either, im a narusaku fan, i dont dislike hinata but hers and sakuras little crushes on naruto and sasuke are the most pathetic and unhealthy forms of emotion i have ever seen..i mean the love aspect of this story in general is now not healthy for girls to watch at least lol...

No romance story portrays your average relationship. Even fewer portray a healthy relationship. I will disagree, however, that Naruto does not portray an unhealthy love or romance. It may not portray a particularly healthy one - but teens aren't going to have healthy love or romances. All are inherently possessive and overly idealistic. No teen romance exists as a healthy one - and a very, very small percentage survive into adulthood long enough to develop into a healthy one (though some persist despite being unhealthy).

i mean the msg kind of comes out too, if you have big boobs and stalk the same boy for years on end even though you know nothing about him and just copy everything he does (dont deny it she has no personality of her own...everything she does is because naruto does it)

This is a failure to understand Hinata's character. Naruto is an inspiration - a sort of goal. For a while, her view of him was somewhat unhealthy - placing him as something of an idol. However, it was that idolization of him that motivated her through some very difficult struggles of her own. Now, however, she's able to apply a much more human view to Naruto - as evidenced by the most recent events. Had she been merely a shadow of him - she would have crumbled at his own weakness.

Obviously, that's not what happened. She stands by the same principles that Naruto does - not as a copy of Naruto. Though I understand why many didn't see this coming, given the little time we are with Hinata's character (aside from fainting in front of Naruto).

and sakura..dont even get me started on that...sasuke showed care for sakura about as many times as naruto showed interest in hinata, and they have tried to kill each other. id rather her be alone than end up with sasuke or lee personally.

This does walk a fine line.

What I get out of this whole ordeal is the fact that you will always feel very strongly for those you've held a bond with in the past. People who were once important to you do not cease being important to you. I will always feel love for my ex, for example - the instinct and desire to be there and take care of her will be there in spite of the years (partly why I keep my number of intimate relationships low... I'm something of a Naruto when it comes to losing a friend - even worse in the case of an intimate one).

By that same token... this does brush on danger in the idea that you can 'fix' someone by getting into a relationship with them. I've seen that play out horribly a number of times (and can't ever recall seeing it succeed). If Sakura ends up trying to 'fix' Sasuke by sleeping with him (explicitly or implicitly) there's a problem with the portrayal.

Sakura needs closure on the Sasuke issue to move on. She'll probably be able to accept feelings for another guy after getting that closure, or Sasuke will end up developing into decent dating material following that closure.

I'll be honest - I relate to Sasuke in his erratic behavior. I went through a bout of self-destructive chaos following my father's passing a few years ago (which only aggravated issues between my girlfriend and I... and ultimately we broke up in a very, very unflattering manner). Took me a while to work through that. But, that's largely been worked through and my personality has become stable to the point that I consider my 'pre-trauma' self to have been quite unstable by comparison.

So there is some hope for Sasuke being something other than a hateful douche.

the whole thing doesnt make sense really. when naruto says that he loves hinata or theres a kiss or something, ill admit i was wrong...but until then i say this is just too...simple and anticlimatic.

I don't think that is going to happen for a while. Granted, we're limited in how much development can be shown in the panels of a comic book amidst a flurry of other plot activity... but I doubt Kishimoto is going to end it with: "So Naruto killed the Ten Tails and married Hinata on the spot. Sakura seduced Sasuke into an old hideout of Orochimaru's and hasn't been heard from, since. Rumors of children with the Sharingan keep coming from the Hidden Sound."

There are still quite a few unresolved issues that will take time. Sasuke being one of those (he's not likely to be straightened out by the end of the war... that will probably be a story arc or two of its own).
