Wow....I guess Naruto really is mentally retarded. It took him 2 years after the war to realize Hinata's love for him? After the confession and Neji's speech and Hinata talking sense into him he STILL didn't realize it? Kind of taints the pairing for me. This is just too ridiculous. I'm now ANTI NaruHina. Hinata deserves better than this moron.

I am pretty sure he has admitted at least on several occasion that he sucks at romance, plus Naruto isn't a romantic based manga/anime. You should expect as much.

Yes, I'm mad cause this is bull shit. And a retcon was NOT needed. if anything, the movie makes all this even more of a joke. Had Kishi just ended things with 700, no one would've questioned why or how Naruto fell in love with the girl who was willing to die for him. Kishi should've left how they got together to the fandom's imagination.

Kishi is full of sh*t. Kushina and Minato's story seemed pretty damn romantic to me. Tsunade and Dan's encounter seemed pretty damn romantic to me. Temari and Shikamaru's encounters seemed organic to me. There was never any question that they would end up together. And he was so subtle with them.

You ppl are being real naive accepting every one of Kishi's lame excuses. He just neglected them bc he was focused on other things. He needs to say that instead of insulting our intelligence with his bull shit excuses. Same goes for his claim that he isn't good at female characters. That is also bull shit. I am not being naive with anything; I just don't give a rats ass about any of the pairings, nor his excuses to do with them. Well those were certainly handled much better than the "main pairings". I wouldn't necessarily call it bullshit on both cases, but he really has no reason to focus on romance in the first place; it was pure fan service for the shippers. 9 times out of 10 he does suck at females tbh, maybe he just cbf sometimes? I wouldn't have a clue.

Although, none of us have seen the movie, it seems to be going in that direction, and Kishi's pulling the "Naruto is too dumb" card yet again.

Two years without saying anything kind of goes against both of their characters and there is really no point for Kishi to start from scratch, and that's the problem here, why start from scratch?
