Actually, MOST PARENTS, in general. that's the traditional parenting style, unfortunately. I don't make a big deal about it, though...
Don't be surprised...I've dealt with tons of em. They're dangerous too, they can set you up if you're a threat to their secrets.
However, I don't treat them like "projects" or "patients"...absolutely not, it's too common to do so.That's what a sore-loser does, and it means you're no better. A winner doesn't behave like a loser.
And this common thing they tend to have is "personal gain" sydrome...everything boils down to what THEY want and what THEY can get.Also, they're always happy, as long as they get what THEY want. On top of all that, they're clinically in denial...they can't take accountability...unless, of course, it's for personal gain.
To be honest, that psychologist...is a bit naive...he should know, that narcissists basically GOVERN our country...yes they do.We're outnumbered.
