To make up for that, the members of the Nara Clan rely on Shadow Neck Bind. It is possible to inflict direct damage to the enemy by transforming and moving shadows endowed with physical power. It is possible to attack body parts like fingers and such by turning the shadow slender and to bind the opponent's body in order to restrain them. The user can also use it on himself as shown by Shikamaru who used this technique on himself to break his finger, using the pain to escape from Tayuya's genjutsu. Remember this requires no extra handseal.

Shikamaru looks at death and smiles and then says"okay I get how the training method will work", as he says this Shikamaru begins to channel his charka into the shadow below his feet and try's to move the shadow forward, channelling more charka into his shadow to make it move he concretes on imaging the shadow moving forward and performs the rat handseal to make the shadow move towards death first oncoming clone and traps deaths clone shadow with his, as he does this he strangle the clone with the shadow hand.
I have two questions
1 does this kill the person?
2 how much does this restrict the person can they weave handseals?

this is a very likable justu to me as you can use the tactic shikamaru use against hidan and kakzu by pretending to put paper bombs on them ,throw actual paper bombs then make your shadow move towards them to tip them off you and make them focus on the shadow and then jump in the sky and throw the special charka infused blades at their shadows but they will have to assume their paper bombs or It be metagaming

1. What happens if I strangle you with my hands? Will you die? The answer is, you'll slowly lose your conscious as the pressure of the hand blocks the wind pipe. And then within no time, you'll die. But you can never say that I strangled you to death in one shot. It requires time.
2. The user has to maintain the rat handseal and hence he cannot use any other technique. The target on the other hand is already in the shadow possession jutsu and hence why he/she cannot move or make any handseal.

The force on Deaths clone is tremendous causing him to feel a lot of pain until he is crushed inside the smoke bomb also because it is a smoke bomb it would be very hard to breathe whilst within the smoke bomb so they would also die of suffocation if they didn't get out.
Your Opinion: this justu is very straightforward and handy as it can be used in two stages one blinding the opponent with a smoke bomb so they don't know what is happening and then two coiling your shadow around the smoke causing tremendous amount of pressure on the opponent trapped inside of the smoke

Shikamaru sees Deaths clone enter short range with him and his shadow whirlwind deals blunt force damage to Deaths clone upper body and then Shikamaru posses the shadow of that clone binding him on the spot.
Your Opinion: This is my favourite justu out of these six as is an excellent defence justu and offensive justu all in one you deal blunt force damage to the opponent when defending against a strike from him and then posses his shadow making an offensive move which is very hard to stop

He definitely won't be crushed. The target would suffocate, yes. He will feel the pressure of the smoke increasing, making it difficult to breathe until he passes out.
To answer your question, what do you think? An example would be: You can use Hiding Like A Mole to go underground to escape this.
This is one of the jutsus that was picked up from the games. And as far as the videos show, it only causes blunt damage as the opponent is kinda blasted away with the impact. But it causes no serious cuts or bruises. But for the sake of it, you can say minor cuts as a whirlwind is created with the intent to cut.

Your Opinion: my opinion on this justu is that it is a very pretty versatile justu and sets up a lot of other justu, so it like the foundation of the other justu that how more wide range and more damage compared to the lower ranked justu, also it is very basic to use. Then its also you can add explosion tags to each shadow line you make so if they impale the opponent you can then explode each one killing him if he wasn't dead already.

Your Opinion:this justu as you said is pretty pointless when I could just kill the opponent by myself with my own shadow and preserve my charka and kill the opponent there and then so in my own opinion this is pretty useless to me.

Description: Shikamaru channels his charka to his shadow and creates 6 lines of shadow and uses shape manipulation to turn them into needles, he then sends them moving fast towards Deaths clone attacking from different angles and in all directions instead of one direction and impale him through his torso causing a lot of pain and binds him into place.
Your Opinion: this justu is very handy as you can attack from a lot of different angles and blind spots and don't have to attack in a single direction and this makes it very hard for the opponent to dodge but because of the amount of needles coming from different directions and not a single direction the opponent will probably just repel it with a fire justu

Description: Shikamaru channels his charka to his shadow and creates 100 small tendrils sending the large amount of them forward towards the incoming Death clone, Deaths clone throws 4 kunai. Shikamaru manipulates 4 of the small tendrils and catch the kunai thrown by weaving the shadows very fast through the hole at the end of the hilt and then throws it back at the clone catching him off guard, he did this with simple hand gestures.
Your Opinion: I like this justu very much there is so many possibility's of what you can do with this justu you can defend yourself from freeform weapons such as kunai and launch them instantly back at them and get on the offensive straight away, also it would be very excellent attacking them constantly keeping them on the defensive and gives you the upper hand.
Questions: would the tendrils be visible by the normal human eye?

Description:Shikamaru channels his charka to his shadow and sends his shadow and circles around Death clone and creates a lot of shadow spikes to pierce through the clone causing an enormous amount of pain to the clone and disperses the clone instantly
Your Opinion: I like this but im a bit confused on this one I know you said ignore the honeycomb formation, but when you said I think of it as a circle around the opponent, wouldn't this justu be used different to every user of shadow techs?. but personally I like this justu as you obviously can attack from a lot of angles and in different formations.
