shikamaru is laying on the training ground staring at the clouds waiting for his new teacher, as shikamaru is waiting he is thinking about what his new teacher will be like, as he is staring at the bright sky and clouds, he thinks why cant he just be a cloud?, just sat there drifting on by no problems and no worries just drifting to where the breeze takes you he falls asleep from tiredness and awaits for his teacher

A single leaflet detaches and drops down on Shikamaru's forehead from a swinging branch with the sudden onset of breeze. The atmosphere itself turns freezing cold as the the fallen leaves rustle and make a crunching noise from the northern end, indicating someone's arrival. With a huge bulky and intimidating figure that he has, Death stands in front of Shikamaru, dressed in his usual armour, holding his two gigantic scythes. "Shikamaru...", he calls out in a quite hoarse tone. His words loud and clear, echoes throughout the forest, making the tiny little birds fly away with fear.​

shikamaru feels the atmosphere turn cold and hears something drop beside him, he then looks up and sees a huge bulky figure, with two gigantic scythes shikamaru analysis him very quickly and hears the figure call his name in a hoarse tone, shikamaru heard it loud and clear, he stands up and says are you my new teacher? in a very calm and relaxed tone. he thinks he's teacher is defiantly a strong type with his body figure

"Teacher?", Death clarifies with the boy as he swings his scythe in his right hand across the boy's chest, narrowly missing his body, but tearing his jacket diagonally. Calling someone a "Teacher" in a shinobi world was just not......shinobi-ish. However, that was of less concern.
With his other scythe, he then held it up, across Shikamaru's throat, lifting his chin up, to look into his eyes as it illuminated bright as fire from under his mask, making him look more ghostly . No, it wasn't romantic. It was a moment that looked exactly like when a predator toys with its prey before killing it. "You call yourself a Shinobi, but still leave yourself unguarded? You sure have to learn a lot kid."
You see, Death was a person who never saw peaceful life. He never had one! Every day was a struggle. A struggle to live and a struggle to survive! And training younglings was more of a hobby to him, something that made him happy, even if it was for only a few days. He had to make sure that no kids, have to live a life that he had to, and hence why he chooses to be strict with them, so that they may atleast learn to defend themselves properly.​

shikamaru sees his teacher raise his scythe across his chest with this he jumps back thinking has he gone mad?, he thought he was being polite with this person, he looked down and his jacket was tore diagonally, he saw this person hold he chin up with his scythe and talk to him, he listens to his words sweating, shikamaru makes a rat seal and traps his teacher shadow with his doing shadow imation and walks back reply's back, I always have my guard up, what was the need in that teacher?, I should have no need to have my guard up, he saw the look in his teachers eyes he looked like he endured a hard life, maybe that was why he was angry shikamaru thought to himself

"That disrespect!" Death was furious that his student used a jutsu against him. "You need to learn to respect your elders kid." With that Death simply falls back into his own shadow, the one that connects him and his student, to travel in it and re-emerge behind his student. Death would then create a spike made of his shadow from his hand and place it across the student's throat. "And I'll make sure you learn it."
Death pauses for a second or two before he asks "Tell me all that you know about our clan."​

shikamaru sees his teacher disappear then appear behind him with a spike against his throat made from his sensei shadow, he thought what I expect from a shadow teacher, disrespect I only have the highest respect for you shikamaru said, he then hears his teacher asking what he knows about our clan so shikamaru says shikamaru says yes sensei im shikamaru nara as he replied to the mid aged man in front of him,

shikamaru then begins to speak about the nara clan is known for their intelligence, ninjustu that entails the manipulation of shadows, and tending of deer such as Rikumaru, which graze in a large area of the Nara clan forest, The Nara clan has a special relationship with the Akimichi and the Yamanaka clan. For several generations, members of these three families have formed "Ino–Shika–Chō" trios,

pausing for a moment shikamaru sighs and thinks this is boring then says the nara clan ability's is shadows they can manipulate any shadow they are in or shadows they send there own shadow to which is the basis of many of the nara techniques, they can even control shadows underground to get the opponents, some of the justus can even catch weapons that a thrown at them.

then shikamaru says the strengths and weakness of the nara ability's are

Strengths
1. It is sneaky type of technique and hence can be used to surprise the opponent, also can manipulate any shadows
2. It is pretty much efficient technique, I.e. once opponent is caught using the shadow it is difficult to escape.
Weaknesses
1. Opponent needs to be brought within the range of this tech as shadow can't be stretched after certain limit.
2. light if there isn't any light no shadows so we cant use our techs

Death patiently listens to the boy, as he speaks. Over these years, he had listened to numerous variations and explanations of Nara shadows. And this was yet another piece. He quickly pushes his student away from him, de-materializes his shadow kunai and waits for his student to turn back and face him.

• Thirdly, if you do not reply within one month, I will drop your training without further notic (unless you give a prior notice)
• Fourthly, please try to use proper English. It is very annoying for both you and me if I do not understand what you say and I tell you to redo the jutsu over and over again until I understand you xd
  Also, try to use CAPITALS and PUNCTUATION! It too irritating to read without it. Even I am not perfect. I am just learning. So we can at least try to avoid the basic mistakes, right?
• Last but not the least, after the training ends, you must fight me in battle field and try to trap me with the secret technique of our clan.

Shikamaru gets pushed forward by his teacher and turns around and faces his new teacher, Sees the shadow kunai recede shikamaru hears death words and says okay I understand my knowledge is shallow and I will improve it shikamaru sees death take out a scroll and tosses it towards shikamaru, so shikamaru catch's the scroll and begins to read the content, it was deaths rules and they seamed like fair rules,

shikamaru then hears his teachers words again saying "If you're comfortable with the rules, we can continue. Or else you can simply withdraw from the training" and says I agree to your rules and terms they seem fair

Death turns around and walks away from Shikamaru till he reaches a large rock by the side of the ground, before turning back again. Very well. Now, tell me the advantages and disadvantages of Shadow as an element. What is it weak against? What is it strong against? How to improve it? The elemental interactions etc. etc.
He jumps back and takes his seat on top of the rock before swinging his scythe playfully in the air.

Ok, you're getting better. Make sure every sentence starts with a capital letter. And every sentence ends with a period (.) and not a comma (,). Make your dialogues either colored or use semi-colons (""). Try to follow these steps, and you'll do better.

Shikamaru reply's "the weakness of shadow is light anything that causes light can cause the shadow to stop or even recede it is mainly fire what does this but even lighting can stop the shadow by a quick burst of light that will stop the shadow"

shikamaru continues on to say "the strength of the shadow justu is", he pauses for a moment. And thinks is there any elemental strengths for shadow he comes to a decision that there is no elemental strength that he knows of that shadow is stronger to so he says "there is no elemental strength that shadow is stronger to" .Shikamaru awaits death reply

Correct. A shadow is an area where light from a light source is obstructed by an object. So basically you need and object which is you, and a light source which may be natural like the sun or the moon, or artificial lights like flash bombs. With these you can create shadows. Good.
Death pauses again. Light is essential for the creation of Shadows. Death mumbles, loud enough for the student to hear it.
But, do you know that light could also be a reason for the destruction of Shadow? If yes, How? And Why? Death asks, hoping the the student would know the answer.

And Why? "Shikamaru thought he knows the answer so he answers to death saying" light is also the destruction of shadow as in pure light shadows cant function. So if their is a large area with just light their shadows cant form there, also light can stop shadow or even repel them. Shikamaru awaits Deaths response"

Shikamaru then hears Deaths words again and thinks a element that gives off light, he knew of two. So he decided to say," I know of two elements that do this, The first was fire that produces a lot of light and depending on the rank of the justu and how much light got given off it can either stop the shadow or repel the shadow back. The other element is lighting though not as much light is produce off this element it is quicker to perform and can stop shadow in its tracks.Shikamaru hopes he was right and awaits deaths answer

Partially correct. Death explains. Fire yes. But Lightening no. Lightening techniques (except for certain techniques that explicitly say they give off a bright light) do not have enough light power to push back a Nara shadow. And fix this in your mind. When a Nara shadow jutsu is incomplete and a large source of light comes into play between the user and target, the advance of the shadow is slowed (B rank fire), halted (A rank Fire), or pushed back to user (S rank and Forbidden Fire).
