@bold: Because the Nara were overlooked, similar to the other clans who weren't Uchiha. It would work in the same fashion as it has always worked. Nothing changes, except a wider array of shadow. In Boruto it's shown Shikadai (through Shikamaru), has learned to manipulate shadows even throughout the day without signs of weakness.

It still doesn't prove it would work at night, without light to cast a shadow how can it be used? By your logic they could attack anyone from any distance at night... and that's just unlikely. I guess it's possible, I've got nothing to say for certain it can't be done, nor do I feel like looking for it

The Nara Clan have control over shadow. Darkness is a shadow. Let's not get nonsensical here. @bold: It's already been shown canonically they can.

Or backpedal more? I said it only "solo'd" the kage cause momo did it, as there's an obvious difference in power between momo and shika, and you said that means nothing, and honestly, by this thread, I'd rather you not take me seriously
