From what I know the Nara clan is a prestige group of shinobi originating from the Leaf village. They have the special ability only known to them that allows the group to manipulate their own shadows. The extent of this manipulation ranges from altering the shodows length, size, shape, and even uniquely rise from the ground as a tangible substance. Neutral to everything, a shadows only weakness is excessive light that may came into play causing the shadows to retract, weaken, or even vanquished.

They can also connect their shadow to other shadows alike in order to increase the range of the shadow for attacks, binding, etc.

That pretty much cover the basics. Now, in our RP we have several technical things we must account for when using Nara Clan techniques. For instance, we share a sensory link wth our shadow, allowing us to always know it's location regardless of our eyesight. Shadow techniques, when utilised in broad daylight/no cover, move at speeds equivalent to your current running speed, while techniques used through a cover/translucent shadow or similar, would move at speeds equivalent to that of a thrown kunai. Furthermore, when using a shadow technique at dusk/dawn, it's speed gets a passive double speed multiplier. Naturally, all speed stuff this can be beneficial to us in some cases and not as much in others. Any ideas why?

Well, in my opinion the more speedy our shadow is the better, it'll give us more of an advantage when trying to launch techniques on skilled opponents. The fact that it gains speeds of up to a kunai when coupled with translucent covers is also a big advantage. For example, what if I launched the one water jutsu that creates a mist on the battlefield, id then have the advantage of body and shadow as well as increased speeds.

As far as the dusk and dawn speed advantage goes im kinda iffy. Yes one can say itll be hard to see the user, and near impossible to see their shadow, but itll be even harder to find battle situations at those times. Hmmm, but then again the NW provides various terrains other than the normal "plain field".

The trick to fights at dusk/dawn is simply stating that yourself. For instance in the BA you can specify it yourself, or when in the ninja world you can change your narrative to a scenario that encompasses that time of the day.

Now, onto techniques. Manipulation of your shadow occurs mainly by the use of Yin release, as in the use of your spiritual energy. It's simplified and not that in depth, but it's good to know for future plans you may develop.

Starting off with the very basic technique, it enables control of your shadow in order to target an opponent's own shadow, resulting in the formation of a bond between the two that forces your opponent to imitate your movement. I would like you to perform the technique while providing uses, strength, and weaknesses.

( Kage Mane ) - Shadow Imitation
Rank: D
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short - Mid Range (, long range if additional shadow/s.)
Chakra cost: 10 (-5 per turn)
Damage Points: N/A
Description: This technique allows the user to control their shadow as far as possible whilst it has sufficient area, additional area can be added by joining with another shadow. Once it comes into contact with the targets shadow, the two merge and the target is forced to imitate the users movements until the bond is broken.

Ok sempai!

Looking over to my left side I see a snow white rabbit nibbling on some grass unbothered by the world around him as my excitement rises at the sight of my little target. Performing the confrontation seal I begin to focus all my energies into my shadow below which begins to awkwardly move in response as I try to get the drift of my peoples hidden jutsu. Grunting here and there I manage to slowly extend my shadow outwards in a far from steady line as it makes its way to underneath the rabbit taking hold. Gotcha!!

Now physically linked through my shadow I start a series of "super-star" like poses which the rabbit follows frantically as it wonders how and what is going on.

L-like this sempai!?

Tsch!!

Falling backwards on my bottom after losing concentration at my sempai's response of lacking in terms of works, I rub my head while noticing my furry target's absence from it's previous spot after the binding fell apart.
Te-te-te-te, Gomenasai sempai!! I said while standing up once more.

Hmmm, obviously keeping ones concentration is a downside to this jutsu, so even if I successfully bind my target I'd still have to find another means of attack. An upside though has to be this techniques continuous usage limit. That factor alone would be enough to keep any enemy on their toes while fighting. As far as uses though sempai, I don't know how to really answer that...... i'll use it in battle I guess to like bind my opponent...... ending the conversation in a sarcastic like tone. Feeling an added weight on my foot I look down to discover my target practice rabbit sitting on one of my feet while raging in the cutest way ever. Come here boiiiii! I say in a baby like voice while reaching down to pick it up causing the critter to run away while I hesitate due to the chocolate look alike present it left behind on my brand new Shinobi Kicks.

OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOiiiiiiiiii!

Well for usages, you'd have to try to make use of your environment and your characters situation. For instance if you're on water and your opponent is on land, you can dive into the water while he gets knocked unconscious as he would hit the ground. Or perhaps carrying weaponry in unique spots, or for when in close range, having your bio be taller, with more reach, allowing for you to attack without fear of getting hit yourself. Additionally, in handicap matches, you can control your target to move into the line of attack of your ally, or even interrupting his own ally. The thing is that if you have control of your target you can always end a match in a DKO in the worst of situations.

Moving on to the next technique, it essentially giving your weaponry the traits of the shadow paralysis technique, allowing you blades to paralyse the target in place, granted that the blades make contact with the target's shadow. Similar to before, I would like for you to perform the technique while providing uses/strengths/weaknesses.

Spotting a nearby dog suited for training, I throw four shuriken at it one after another intentially missing. Three of the four kunai hit the tree behind the dog causing it to raise on its hind legs while backing up where it then collides its back into the tree in fear. This served as a distraction while the last shuriken hit the dogs shadow from below initiating the shadow imitation hold.

S-Crafty way to initiate the shadow imitation jutsu and strike the target.
W-Shuriken can be easily defended against

I like this jutsu because I have four shuriken at my disposal and I can either strike the target or aim for their shadow but even if a target defends against these shuriken and physically touch it, even if not directly; sword parry etc., one can initiate the hold.

Q- Does the initiation of Shadow Imitation afterwards count as a move or passive?
