kishi overlook something the nara clan are based on shadow jutsu so that means they need reflections to fight doesn't this equals that they are like 80% powerless at night when there is no sun and reflection whatsoever the only thing they can do is taijutsu at night so this mean a single shinobi can wipe them out all at once is the fight at night (just wondering no flaming) i said all this because in naruto movie 3 the kakashi adventure so to say shikamaru was concern about the sun when he was fighting the chimera beast

Yeah their not at easy to detect at night but I don't know where you got your percentage from... There is still shadows depending on the moonlight a light source nearby or something it's not completely dark.... There has to be no light source at all and nighttime has one major light source which is the moon..

How many missions and fights have you seen taking place at night??
Plus the Nara clan is very smart.They can create the circumstances that will benefit them the most.In night they will just have to make some light(fire) to have reflections.Shikamaru has altered many times the environment to gain more benefits on using his shadow tech.

No matter night or day in NV there are always shadows cause in all episodes that take place on night there is always full moon thats what i observed

I think its more of like, as long as there's a dark spot, their shadow powers and stronger. So, if you fought a Nara dude inside a pitch-black room, his jutsu can go all over the place.

And that was a filler too.
In any case Shikamaru is smart he is not going to give up a fight cause he doesn't have shadows.He will make some.
That's why Kishi made him so smart and able to think ahead of his enemies.Cause his base ability has drawbacks that are balanced by his mind.
