Nah I don't think thats the case as he was happy to die so he could see his son's in the after life. Like he said, the humans just misunderstood his powers.

Kid Ban is awesome. xD Loved how he isn't afraid to say all hat shit! haha
Touching story between him and Zhivago. I enjoyed every panel of it. The moment he had to choose his real son over Ban and how he cried was really sad.. I like that he told him he did the right thing and their reunion was really great. He lost one son but still has the other one!

Can't wait to see the development Ban will get with meeting him again.
