Thing is, there's NO time for them to train. The demons are already there. Galan is indeed intimidating but Demon Mel should be stronger. Merlin ought to give what she stole from Meliodas at one point. It might be his control over his Demon powers.

Also, Galan dude is like the weakness of teleportation. Merlin teleports him, the dude just casually jumps back in "steps" xd

Anyways I don't know, but the demons seem to say that their magical power is depleted. Maybe it's only that ? Like strength and spirit are still there but rusty due to the seal whereas magic is completely drained and needs to be recharged. That would be their only weakness. That they have 0 or really low magic stats for now. Maybe Merlin can use this to gain an advantage since she is the mage ? Who knows...
