nagatos rinnegan question

Ive been thinking since rinnegan is an evolved sharingan would it be possible that nagato could do sharingan techs?

Like we have seen edo madra do sharingan techs with rinnegan but im not sure if its just cause he has uchia blood in him but kakashi can do sharingan techs and he got 0 uchia blood in him

So could nagato do sharingan techs?

Logically if Nagato was aware of his Sharingan powers, he'd be able to use them.

No, because I believe he was given his Rinnegan, so he can only use the Rinnegan and cannot deactivate it. He cannot use any abilities which were present in that Rinnegan prior to it being transferred to him. For example, if that Rinnegan was once an EMS which evolved into the Rinnegan, Nagato cannot use EMS techs because the eye was a Rinnegan (not an EMS) when they were implanted into him. If it was an EMS, got transplanted into him, and then evolved into the Rinnegan, then he'd be able to use EMS techs.

With transferred eyes, you can only go forwards, not backwards.

I don't believe so. We don't know that Rinnegan is a direct evolution of Sharingan, it may require Senju and Uchiha DNA (as with Edo Madara). Additionally, Tobi supposedly gave the Rinnegan to Nagato, so he wouldn't have ever had Sharingan.

Dont think so. If it truly is madaras eyes and you could use the ems then tobi would use it or replace both his eyes with the nagatos rinnegans. Thats unless he needs that specific sharingan to use his space/time jutsu.

Umm, highly unlikely..

Madara is really exceptional for having his Rinnegan, just remember, for a Uchiha.. you need to be born with a Sharingan, then you need to kill your best mate for the MS, then taking your brother eyes for EMS, and finally you need to have the 1st Hokage DNA to achieve the Rinnegan (under some unknown circumstances..), none of which Nagato has done any of these in the past, he got them so young when he was 4 or something, so we still don't know the trick of "how he got his Rinnegan?", but it's a (Madara/Tobi) related thing surely.
