1. Itachi dead or alive would kill Nagato. Nagato was unable to walk. Even if Kabuto wasn't controlling him he would have died.
2. Chibaku Tensei is Futile against Multiple Yasaka's Magatama's
3. The Yata Mirror deflects ALL things including Shinra Tensei.
4. Nagato wasn't the only one called INVINCIBLE. Zetsu said that Itachi with the Totsuka Blade and Yata Mirror is INVINCIBLE.
5. Itachi was able to easily sea a SANNIN'S 8 Headed Snake so Nagato's summons wouldn't be hard to seal.
6. The Totsuka Blade can seal Gedo Mazo so Nagato's Dragon Soul Carrier is Useless
7. The Pretha Path absorbed too much Frog chakra from Naruto that it turned into a frog statue, how much Amateratsu do you think Nagato can absorb before he dies?
8. Itachi blinded every other possible line of sight for Nagato remember?
9. The Asura paths bombs are useless before Susano'o
10. Tsukuyomi is just OVERKILL! Itachi placed a Perfect Jinchuriki(Bee) in Tsukuyomi so what can Nagato do?

I told you why he lost... and If he was Legitimately "bested" by Itachi's sword, then Itachi would have faced and sealed Nagato head on with Nagato paying Attention.

You didn't even give a sound explanation as to why he lost, just a baseless assumption that "Itachi got a cheap shot". Also, Nagato was paying full attention during the fight, so i'm not sure why you believe he wasn't. He lost to a technique wielded by another edo, therefore he cannot be the 2nd strongest (after Madara). I would agree that in terms of raw power, he is the second most powerful edo.

It's true.. nagato (((( aint soloable ))) by anybody... he was too overpowered.. that's why kishi ended he's way the way it's ended.. sealed by totsuka. and he admited it himself.. he didnt even want to fight naruto in the first place in any time... this fact even proves when kabuto used nagato he didnt know all he's moves,techs and secrets ( he's leg's were crippled by danzou in earlier arc ) he is definitly the second strongest ( atleast ) shinobi in edo tensei.. no fanboyism.. just proper logic.. kishi had he's reasons to end nagato's way it was meant to be. add + ( who ever says that itachi can beat nagato is a pure fanboy, itachi has no answer against nagatos brute power and many years of intelligence.. just face it.. the reason nagato was terminated before itachi was that kishi wanted to told us that nagato was too overpowered to keep going on the series... itachi and the sasuke uchiha were more ( popular character) in the first place...
