Nagato vs Sasuke

Hype is what keeps the manga progressing, it is expectation and requirement that form new levels of power for each character.

This is a cool, favourite technique used by Kishi. He compares ("you're like Madara"/"your eyes are better than Itachi's|), he foreshadows ("...Sasuke will surpass Nagato"), then he delivers - EMS.

He does this always. it's a nice trick

And also you have no proof, none that Madara would have lost. End of story.

With a statement like that you have to be specific. Nagato is not Uchiha, he cannot use Rinnegan/Sharingan in it's entirety. And Dojutsu isn't the only factor to weigh, intelligence + motivation also plays a hand

Sasuke still doesn't really have a way to stop Chibaku Tensei. It doesn't really matter how fast Nagato absorbs, even you throw a lot of water at a sponge it will still absorb it. And Nagato's absorbing jutsu can take in an infinite amount of chakra.


Black flaming arrows wouldn't be strong enough. It took Itachi's strongest long range attack, Bee's TBB!!!, and Naruto's Rasenshuriken to destroy the Chibaku Tensei.

We don't really know how good Nagato is with genjutsu, but Sasuke isn't that good at them either. Rinnegan is the next thing after the EMS so he probably has some skill with Genjutsu.

And if Nagato gets too close to Sasuke he might suck out his soul.

Chibaku Tensei and while Sasuke is being sucked in, Gedo Mazo's sealing dragon attacks underneath Susanoo. Its my immortal strategy that only time space users can avoid.

Itachi was a master genjutsu user, not his eyes. And you don't know that his genjutsu was improved by Itachi's eyes.
Plus Sasuke doesn't know that he can break the Chibaku Tensei. Susanoo can't really hurt Nagato, It's made of chakra which can be absorbed.

That was an additional statement. My main point was, Rinnegan is not the superior dojutsu in this case... in Nagato's case. And I've explained so above. You get it?

Rinnegan is only better when its Sharingan abilities are kept intact. EMS still has more expectation + feats.

Also you define things way too clearly. My statement was to say that, pay attention, it is the user and not the tool, not only considering how well the tool itself is used but how it's supported - intelligence/genius, and various other factors. Also Sasuke proficiency with EMS is irrelevant because A - he learns very quickly, B - he mastered MS

1. Susanoo can't escape Chibaku Tensei. Unless you're saying Susanoo gives the physical strength of the 9 Tails, which is just so unrealistic and shows that you're a fanboy.
2. Who said Nagato will get caught in Tsukuyomi. And Sasuke isn't that good at genjutsu. Considering Nagato has mastered the 5 basic elements at age 10, it is obvious that he has knowledge of Genjutsu.
