Nagato vs. Naruto Human-Path plot hole

who else wondered on why it took nagato so long to take out narutos soul?

human path took out the soul of the konoha nins instantly while nagato, whose techniques were supposed to be faster, was taking out narutos souls for a minutes. lol naruto had the time to thing about which paths technique this is, use a rasengan and bee to attack nagato. though nagato took out a good portion of narutos soul instantly when using human path in the end of the previous chapter.

a matter of plot or why wasnt soul technique working so fast?

everything went down in a matter of seconds naruto said aloud what the justu was because he already fought pain and then bee came in to intercept but it was itachi who followed up and broke them out of they would of been done for.Not oto mention naruto has a strong life force being an uzumaki and all

Yeah I have to agree with those who say that it's a matter of the plot; he could take out his soul instantly but took a long time, Naruto could even hold his immaterial soul. Nagato got trolled hard.
