Nagato vs itachi

ok now me and my friend are having an argument on which character is more skilled in fighting. he picks nagato and i pik itachi.

the reason why i pik itachi is because he uses intelegence and skill to defeat his opponents. he can easily get his opponents in a genjutsu without them knowing (until they realise their in one but its already 2 late ) and he is the only uchiha (apart from sasuke) that can use amaterasu. luv that move because once it touches you then you overs. there is many reasons that i could say but ill just keep it plain and simple.

now reason he piks nagato:
he likes his shinra tensei, how he could maintain naruto 8 tails in his planetary devastation(pretty impressive) and how he can use 6 paths of pain. the main reasons he piks it is because he likes the rinnegan. anyone with rinnegan is his fav.

now which one is it: itachi vs nagato

Ok I must be one of Itachis biggest fanboys.

If we are talking about skill alone they are pretty equal.
But itachi showed to be superior as a strategist and able to
analize the situation and oponents weaknes faster as shown
when he blinded all of Edo Nagato's summonings in one barrage of kunais.

Now if we are talking about them fighting each other.

Itachi stands no chance againts Nagato

Um your wrong Amaterasu can be repelled by nagato with shinra tensei and he wouldn't be able to get nagato in a genjutsu as easily as you think. Nagato knows itachi and his skills. It took itachi and bee and naruto to defeat him. That tells you something

I'm not opposed to concede that Itachi had more skill per se.He didn't have a lot of chakra, suffered from an unknown disease so his only option, in regards to becoming top tier, were to be as efficient and accurate as possible.However, that is not enough to defeat a guy like Nagato who had both skill (mastered every element at the age of 10) and exceptional power Rinnegan haxx).

nagato knows even more abt the ms,itachi knowing nagato's weakness dosent mean he can do anything abt it,he hit nagato's blind spots with shurikens when he was occupied with killer b and naruto,battle smarts?,nagato took 6 people and co-ordinated their attacks perfectly such that they solo'd konoha,he mastered all basic natures at 10,and has had his rinnegan for over 30 years,itachi was abt 23 years when he died,so he has more skill. I have no idea how people think itachi actually has a chance.
