Exactly what the title says i want to know everyone's opinion who you think would win. i no theres a thread for this already but there pretty old so i decided to start a new one. As my name suggest's I'm in favor of Nagato. I love both of them but i just don't believe Itachi would be able to pull it off. I'm not saying its impossible but highly unlikely. Ever since Itachi sealed away Nagato every Itachi fan believes Itachi is more powerful. But that's not the case, for one Nagato was under Kabato's control and couldnt think for himself. Kabuto doesn't know Nagato's power's like Nagato himself knows them. If he was under his own control he wouldn't of been as careless. And it also took Naruto, Killer Bee, and Itachi to defeat Nagato. People say Itachi could of done it himself but he wouldn't of asked for help if he didn't need it. He wouldn't of wanted Killer Bee and Naruto to waste their chakara if it wasn't absolutely necessary. And people have been saying Nagato has no speed feats. He may not be fast on his feet but his reaction speed and attack speed makes up for that. They say he has no speed feats just cause the sword struck him. For one the dust cloud was blocking his view and once again was being controlled by that a-hole Kabuto and couldn't react on his own. He was able to keep up with Killer bee and Naruto and overpower them when they are clearly faster in V2 and 9 tails chakara mode. He can also fly which increases his speed and also has the power to use Asura path's Chakra Propulsion technique to greatly increase his speed if needed. Itachi doesn't have many jutsu that can hurt Nagato. His only options are Amaterasu, Tsukuyomi, and Susanoo while. But Nagato can repel Amaterasu, we don't know if he could defend against Tsukuyomi all we can really say is maybe, maybe not. You can't compare Frog Song which is a Sound Genjutsu to Tsukuyomi which is a visual Genjutsu. Visual Genjutu's may not work on the rinnegan. It also states Nagato is adept at genjutsu as he placed mental barriers inside the path's mind so no one could invade their mind and access secret information. Susanoo is his best option. Many people over hype the Yata Mirror and the sword of totsuka. I've read alot of post's claiming the Yata Mirror could deflect Shinra Tensei, while we don't know if it could exactly but from what Narutopedia says about it it seems it can only block nature transformation techniques and Shinra Tensei is not a nature transformation so from that it seems like the attack could get through. And as for The Sword of Totsuka i admit it could work on Nagato but not as easy as everyone's saying. If the 2 were fighting one on one without kabuto controlling nagato i dout it would of worked on him right away like that. Nagato could just keep his distance from susanoo till it wore off cause Itachi can't hold it for very long cause it causes strain on his body and eyes and drains his life force and chakra. Or another option is to fly above and stay out of range of Susanoo so itachi has no way of getting to him. As for Itachi's intellect i admit hes somewhat smarter than nagato but not all that much that it would affect the battle. Nagato has more battle experience. As naruto even stated Nagato is much more powerful with his own body then the six paths as his attacks are more powerful and faster. Killer Bee and Naruto could probably defeat Itachi together while Nagato overwhelmed Naruto and Killer Bee without a problem. If they all 3 didnt attack the celestial sphere they would of died. Even tobi has stated that Nagato was invincible and hes one of the six paths and was considered by all the most powerful akatsuki member by them all. Even zetsu was shocked by his defeat saying he never thought he could be defeated. Itachi even stated he would be killed by jiraiya and nagato defeated him with ease. Nagato has gotten alot of praise from Tobi and Zetsu while know one in the Akatsuki praised Itachi's power's as much as he was a powerful shinobi but doesnt possess the powers Nagato does. Also his rinnegan is more powerful than the sharigan. Its not a fact that nagato could beat itachi but everything points to nagato. Im not counting itachi out just think its highly unlikely itachi could win against someone with nagato's powers. please give reasoning's for your decisions who would win and not just say "nagato would win" or "itachi would win cause he's awesome". and please be respectful towards eachother.
