Nagato to Naruto is like Itachi for Sasuke... EH?

Just thought about it, and asked myself: who is the equivilant to Itachi for Naruto...

Sasuke had a sort of brother (Itachi) (because they sorta both disowned each other, and Naruto sort of tool up that role until he took off from Lord Naruto of course), then the brother-esque equivilant to Naruto would had been Nagato - in terms of heritage/ability...

Just wondering if anyone else took notice I this, I found it interesting too think of I figured...

He's trying to get at the hate aspect of it. Sasuke hated Itachi because he killed his family, so eventually Itachi was killed by Sasuke, but Sasuke later realized that Itachi was put up to it and had sympathy for his brother.
Naruto hated Nagato because he killed Jiraiya and many other villagers, so eventually Nagato was indirectly killed by Naruto, but Naruto realized that all Nagato wanted was peace and had sympathy for his fellow disciple. See the resemblance now?

I always viewed Nagato as Naruto's "Itachi"... Naruto vs. Nagato and Sasuke vs. Itachi were both coming of age battles. Naruto learned about "Pain and Vengeance, gained his mission for peace, and spoke to his father, Minato, which also resolved him to control the Kyuubi. Sasuke won his hollow vengeance over Itachi only to learn the truth about his clan and Konoha (or part of the truth), awakened his Mangekyou, and fell deeper into hatred/desire for revenge, this time against the corrupt Shinobi world. Nagato and Itachi were both left valuable lessons, but both left a mission for Naruto/Sasuke, as well. Those two fights pretty much shaped the path that Naruto/Sasuke are on now. Also, Nagato/Itachi were the only ones who could limit/influence Obito's plans, so Obito was then free to launch his war to capture Naruto and pursue his plans with Sasuke.
