I think the six paths also gave advantages though. There's the rinnegan link which is much stronger with 6 people than with 1 person and animals. There's also the fact that the bodies could be revived. Having the power spread between 6 people can be advantageous too, but it can also be disadvantageous.

He was never noted for his speed. So in order to fit your expectation, you need to give him speed like kcm/Ay or time and space ninjutsu to make such a difference

How can we assume the interval remains the same when we know using it depends on the build up of chakra? Seeing a Nagato's chakra was diminished and divided, the interval could have been the only backlash.

Look at Madara for an example, he has the juubi's power and his own original eye the rinnegan.

His power with the rinnegan surpasses that of nagato by a mile, yet he his limited to using his limbo (shadow madara):

I don't see how this addresses the fact the ST consumes a lot of chakra and Pein itself split Nagato's chakra in half basically with each body receiving a portion. Konon said Nagato had to focus all his chakra in Deva Path. So considering that, if the chakra was already in that single user, chakra wouldn't need to be refocused in the first place

Actually, they didn't have Rinnegan in this meaning. That was simply an image due to Nagatos Rikudo no Jutsu. The devided sight was part of it too. Nagato used Kokushin to transmit his own chakra to his "six path's."
Nagato was connected to Gedō Mazō-according to Obito. GM doesn't have only a huge amount of life force, but after Akatsuki sealed Shukaku, Nagato could have used a piece of his chakra too. I think, Gedō Mazō should prolong Nagatos life like in Madaras case.
The Rinnegan isn't easy to handle, not even for Nagato.
