Lol no, it was pretty much stated that Madara gave him the Rinnegan. I doubt that would be a lie since Konan was going to die anyway. It was obviously Madara's Rinnegan since it is stated again that the Rinnegan is evolved through the sharigan. Nagato is a Uzumaki. As I recall, you can share both special traits from two clans if they combined and had a child.

I can only think of 3 explanations as to how Nagato got his rinnegan.
1. Madara gave his rinnegan to Nagato, then transplanted a regular sharingan which he used for the rest of his life (unlikely imo).
2. Obito time traveled to give Nagato the rinnegan.
3. Nagato is related to Madara (he's Madara's son or grandson).

Perhaps Madara is Nagatos father but it is impossible for Madara to have transplanted his Rinnegan eyes from what we know unless were going down the random sharringan from a random uchiha route
I read that it was a mistake however it could be that Nagato is Madaras son and he had the sharringan naturally
Besides its still impossible for Madara to have the sharringan when he gave Nagato his eyes apparently

I agree with those who say that Madara activated Nagato's ability to awaken the rinnegan, similar to how Itachi awoke Sasuke's magekyou as a trigger against Obito. I have a feeling that Kishi will have a hard time explaining this. Especally, how Madara managed to survive so long when he said he died after SHORTLY awaking his rinnegan.
Well there is no real way for Nagato to awaken the Rinnegan or have it technically unless they are implanted. The story goes that the elder son was gifted with the sages eyes and the younger son the sages body, the Uzumaki are related to the Senju. This means that Nagato would have inherited the sages body(not entirely but pieces of that power, kinda like how Naruto has massive chakara reserves). The Rinnegan is awoken through the Uchiha clan. The body in a sense is awoken through the Senju. I guess it all stems down to reincarnations of the elder and younger son of the So6p. Which obviously Madara and Hashirama were that.

Rinnegan evolve from sharingan. Also, Nagato is Uzumaki. His eyes were transplanted, not born with them.

Its impossible to have given Nagato his eyes when he still had his eyes 10 years later simple you Uchiha fanboys are flogging a dead horse with this one

Madara could have ANYONE's sharigans. They don't have to be his own. How do you know he wasn't collecting eyes from every dead Uchiha since his time? Nagato is a Uzumaki. Even if he was half Uchiha, he cannot share both traits from both clans. That was stated in the manga. Nagato shares Uzumaki traits which means he was born a Uzumaki. Why are you calling me a Uchiha fanboy? Is it because I simply disagree with you by simple logic?

About old madara's eyes if i remember a 3T sharingan was a rare trait even amongst the best uchihas

Its more likely that Madara uchiha gave his own Rinnegan to a kid even though he wasnt close to death at that time then thought you know what i made a mistake and robbed a random unspecified Uchiha of his eyes? Doesn't add up

why not give it to an uchcha who could use it better
show me where it shows nagato being given uchicha dna.....and their was no point in kishi hiding it
was it not stated that nagato killed the person at there house so how would madara give it to him
that is exactly precisely what i'm saying. there has never been an uchicha who awakened it without senju dna and it wasn't even shown that the older son of the so6p had rinnegan

If Obitos words are to be believed its basically impossible from a physical aspect but gene wise and perhaps even actually killing Nagatos parents with Zetsu clones are possible
I guess we will have to wait and see for the explanation

this is possible but how does this tie to Nagato unlocking it by himself afterall there is no hint or proof that states nagato is Uchiha, or he has senju dna. he is Uzumaki who have only been said to have massive chakra reserves (a trait expresses by nagato) Which leave us with the idea of nagato getting the rennigan through transplant.

i don't think they used zetsu clones back then nor do i think nagato would swallow or get injected with some zetsu dna
for me i think the uzumakis are either directly related to senju or uchicha or distnaly related to the senju and uchicha because tec their bodies are stronger since they can hold tailed beast better and they also have strong chakra like the elder son has''powerful chakra"
Guess what, the manga said he did it. He knows Nagato. It was stated Madara's Rinnegan was given to Nagato and that was ZERO reason for him to lie about this. The manga says it as does it says a lot of things. It states that the Rinnegan is evolved through the sharigan. It also states that NO ONE can share traits from both clans but it can only be from one(this can be any special clan). People will bring up the So6p but we don't know his origins at all. We do know his powers were split between two of his sons and we do know he is the father of all jutsu and he is the origin of the Senju/Uchiha/Uzumaki clans. So if you really think it is that easy to just have a half Uchiha and Half Senju/Uzumaki kid to achieve the Rinnegan then that is joke. One thing you need to remember,
Nagato was the 3rd So6p which makes Madara the 2nd as stated in the manga. That is key facts right there.
