when you are up against elites like uchiha madara and uchiha itachi...clones don't work...

If a clone can take out a Kage then obviously they are working. These aren't part one clones.

3 Susano'o + 3 Tsukuyomi + 3 Amaterasu ... Naruto and Nagato don't stand a chance. And I haven't even factored in Madara with Mokuton or the Rinnegan... The only one who stands a chance is Minato, but I don't see him beating 3 MS users, 2 of which have EMS and of whom has the Rinnegan.

Don't forget Madara got killed by a clone from Naruto. Naruto is much more powerful than them. He only needs to make 3clones and go and eat ramens. They do the job.
Itachi also was going to get kill by a Nagato who was not even capable to work perfectly if Naruto and Bee weren't there. Now that they are not there, he can't take advantage of their power(Bijuu-ball and FRS), so he will get rape too along with Sasuke.

The current Kages have nothing to do with Naruto's clones.

Naruto and his clones are much more battle savvy than the Kages.

Are you suggesting that Nagato and Naruto can't fight at Minato's level? Because their feats certainly say otherwise

When Madara manage to handle 5kages, Naruto handle 6Bijuus with ease.

well amaterasu wont be porblem here mby itachis tsuku and dont know anything about madaras tsuku so yeah
naruto and nagato have well very good chance
