- Turns into a good guy.
- Naruto ends up liking him.
- Both Utilize eye powers.
- Both had peace in mind.

Yes that was the whole symbolizm behind the fight. Naruto could easily be changed by hatred just like how many other ninjas were. As soon as Hinata was murdered he let go of everything and released his demons.

I kind of get where your coming from but Itachi was good all along while Nagato was evil then was turned good, and itachi I think had a greater effect on sasuke than Nagato did on Naruto
