also, Amaterasu doesn't kill instantly. it's very slow.

proof:
1. Tobi was engulfed in Sasuke's amaterasu for some seconds, yet he came back without injury.
2. Hachibi pulled Karin into a pool of amaterasu and she spent some seconds inside it too before Sasuke extinguished it. She didn't show any sign of injury too.
3. The Samurai that was hit by amaterasu due to Raikage's sunshin no jutsu, spent some seconds being burnt by amaterasu before help came, yet he survived!

Amaterasu can only kill if left long enough to burn the victim to ashes.
In fact, Katon no jutsu can kill faster than amaterasu.

nagato can't absorb amatrasu but he can push it as you mentioned it take century to burn someone

nagato's six path in full health are his summoning. Itachi already took them out

He can use multiple paths at the same time so petra paths got him covered, so he wont get taken out whilst using CT which I don't think he needs to use.

You do realize that he was under Kabuto's control at that point? Also, he was not expecting to be attacked by Itachi in the first place, seeing as how they were both originally on the same side.

So the situation goes as thus. Nagato senses that Amaterasu will be used. Activates Preta Path (when he realized Itachi was going to use Amaterasu, there was a large gap before it was used. Nagato would easily have time to activate Preta Path). Itachi Amaterasu's him, but since he already has Preta Path activated, he absorbs the attack. Done.

No this is false, if this was true then youre saying that hashi and tobirama are both weaker than hiruzen combined in his old age...also kabuto has never used the paths abilities while nagato has years of expperience so its impossible for kabuto to be better as he doesnt know how to use proper strategy concerning the rinnegan

if jinton can be absorbed, there is no reason to think that amaterasu can't be absorbed.
