Jiraiya-sama should have won. How much more badass can one man get? He walks into Nagato's town, defeats his Number 2 in 2 moves. Proceeds to tell him the error of his ways and then decides to kick his ass. Goes into the beastliest Sage Mode that anyone has ever seen, proceeds to kick his ass. Counters everything that is thrown at him, then confounds him with the strongest Genjutsu that anyone has ever seen. Ends him.

Then gets blindsided. Are you frikking kidding me? The self proclaimed God had to keep a secret to win? Please...

Jiraiya-sama could have destroyed all six if he had to from the start. Nagato cheated in that fight.

Although his death was necessary, so that Naruto could carry out the prophecy and bring true peace to the world.

Jiraiya-sama....the most interesting, the most influential and the most significant man in the world. His sacrifice was actually the greatest contribution the world could ever get.

I am still heartbroken about him dying though.

Pain didn't even get to use Deva Path really, if he started with Deva Jiraiya would have lost almost instantly

I think I'm the only guy who doesn't care about jiraiya's death. His character never just clicked in an emotional level for me.

He was a cool character though, would have been cool to see him edo'd

I wish tsunade died instead of Jiraya i wonder how the fight between the kages and madara would have went if jiraya took her spot

Be serious dude. Jaraiya would have countered that with Sage Genjutsu. He is totally vulnerable to sound type genjutsu, Jaraiya proved that. You can't use "almighty push"on sound. That Jaraiya knew every counter for his three students and how to defeat them.
